Have you ever changed your mind about letting a villager move out?

Just curious if I'm the only one with commitment issues! :D

Portia asked to move out again over the weekend. This is literally the fourth time she's asked, so I said fine. Then I started having second thoughts and realised I so didn't want her to leave. Because her house is in such a nice place, and she's so cute, and I have an entire fountain/flower plaza based around her house placement that would be ruined if she left. >__>; Then of course the next day I had no time to play, so I was afraid I'd be too late when I finally had a chance to talk to her-- but fortunately, she brought up moving again the next day, and I told her to stay. :D

And good thing, too, cos the scourge upon my town that is Jambette asked to go today instead. Hurrah!

So, how about you? You ever change your mind about letting a villager leave?

Yep! I was doing the tent trick thing to try and get Marshal, and he wouldn't show up but Ankha did. A few days prior, I had learned of Ankha's popularity, so I thought maybe I could do a straight trade of Ankha for Marshal.

On that SAME day, found someone who wanted to trade Marshal for Ankha exactly. Was ecstatic and told them it would be a while since I just got her.

Started talking to Ankha, who even placed her house in a good spot and everything. Started having second thoughts about trading her. Talked to her a lot more. Fell in love. She somehow made it onto my dreamies list. Apologized continuously to the person who was more than understanding. Kept my little Ankha and now she's never allowed to leave.

Sigh. The search for Marshal continues but I'm glad I didn't give up Ankha.

At first, I was like "Okay, cool" but now I'm like "you stay here until someone wants you, got it?" XDD

Almost the same situation with me! Except I was looking for Ankha and found Marshal in my campsite. I didn't really see why he was so popular but I knew that if I invited him to my town I could trade him for Ankha or sell him on the forum. He ended up moving in a nice spot above my house. Since he was always wandering near my house, I knew getting him to move would be easy. Ugh, but after that first conversation I was hooked and didn't want him to leave. So Marshal accidentally ended up on my dream villager list, but I'm really glad he did. :)

Wow that actually made me laugh. Especially since it's the two same villagers except in reverse. I hope you get Ankha soon though, if you haven't already!~ <33

Yes! Fuchisa asked to move and I told her she can move... Then I didn't want her to leave so I talked to her again and told her to stay when she told me she is moving. None of my villagers can move out!

Zell was my sixth villager. He was adorable, but he was the first one to ask me to move out. I said yes. After a day or two I saw him walking around town singing and skipping and I caved. I talked to him and convinced him to not move anymore and now he's pretty much my absolute favorite villager ever. Can't wait to have him back.

I stopped Sparro from moving out at one point. When he asked again another time, I let him move for real. Only villager I changed my mind about lol.

I wanted to...

I promised a girl that I would let her have Walker in exchange for Soleil. Here's my Walker story, so bear with me.

Walker was a villager in my City Folk town for only a short while. I resented him because he replaced my favorite at the time: Boone who decided to leave without telling me. Therefore, I never really got to know or like Walker.

Then I saw him again in New Leaf as an original villager, and I was like "Okay, this is cool!" I figured I'd keep him around awhile this time since it's only fair being an original this time and all. The more I talked to him and got to know him, the cuter he became. When I offered Walker up to this girl for Soleil, I still wasn't 100% sold on him, but because he never asked to move, I grew attached to him.

Last week, he asked to move. Since I promised this girl she could have him to complete one of her two dog towns, I decided I was going to follow through with it even though I really didn't want to. Since the girl has been busy with school, I decided to TT him out then and there. But before I did that, I decided to check in on him and he showed me the first letter I sent him.

Dear Walker,

I am so happy that you are here. Sorry for not giving you a fair chance in my old town. You deserve a fresh start here. You are too cute!

From, James

Now he's gone. I do feel like I gave him a chance this time though. I have three of his pics, so I'm okay with him moving. He was definitely the hardest villager to let go of so far though. It's funny how attached you get.

Freya. I adore her, but I have two snooty villagers and I need to make a space for Lucky. I just can't seem to let her go every time she asks to leave :'( I always say yes then cave like the day before she's in boxes. But I also adore Whitney. URGH 10 spaces is not enough, Nintendo!

Elvis.

I have three Crankies in my town: Elvis, Gaston, and Hopper. I love all of them, but I decided to get rid of the one who would ask first and it was Elvis. But I changed my mind since Elvis has always been such a bro to me and I absolutely love him. <3 I still have three crankies in my town though...

Elvis for sure. It was 2 days in (after I told him he could move) that I realized I made a mistake, so I convinced him to stay. The same thing happened with Diana and Chrissy, but after a lot of thought I decided that they weren't my dreamies, but they were for sure someone else's.

Ankha was moving and I didn't know it. She didn't tell me she was. I heard it from Flurry. So I went on my facebook and got her a home. I didn't want her to just go away:( and if I moved her to my second village, than I would look her. I miss her but she is happy I hope:) It is odd to talk about a game like this!

Yep - T-Bone. I can never decide whether I want to keep him or not so I usually end up having to convince him to stay after letting him go.

Not really.

While I love my villagers, I'm often quite determine to let those who gave me their Pictures go.

I planned letting all my villagers go once I get their pic, but I've ended up stopping Stitches, Diana, Chief, Beau and Rosie from moving even if I first told them to go. I guess I just can't imagine my town without them. :p

Although I really want Lucky, which means Stitches or Beau has to go some day (I don't want 3 of same personality). :(

I love most of my current villagers, so I haven't had it recently, but when I had Cole I kept him for ages and ages but he kept asking to move pretty much every other time someone asked to move, and in the end I let him go but regretted it for ages afterwards.

Absolutely!

I have been playing since July, and three times I have said yes to a villager moving, then I backed out.

One time though, Katt was asking to move and I was going to say yes, but my only two options after her mentioning she wanted to move was:

"Please stay"
or
"Who are you?"

And I found the last comment to be just so rude, that I could not possibly say that to a villager!

Yeah, Wolfgang! I didn't like him so much but when he decided to move out I was like noooo! But it was too late!
