No you find them walking around like other bugs. The only bugs under rocks I believe are the centipede and pill bug

I've found and caught one first time, it's in my museum, I believe.

I also TT'ed and caught a Scorpion ahead of time too.

No I dont think so. I have never seen one while it was raining, but I've never tried. Just has to be summer, and in the evening

I've caught them when it was cloudy and clear. That hasnt had an impact.
