Have a villager you like, but won't move them in?

Same. I really love Tiffany, but I'm not sure if her house matches my town's color scheme. I have a lot of amiibo cards with my favorite villagers but only some of them are actually moved in. Skye is so cute! I wish I had her card.
I do like Cousteau, however, I was always not sure if I like him that much to have him permanently in my town, so I never really searched for him specific and if he moved in on his own randomly, then I let him stay until he wanted to move out again. I don't know, he's one of those villagers I do like, but not that much to keep him forever. Like I enjoy his company till he wants to go and be happy with this.

My town Is a forest town so I like to stick to earthy tones villagers, so any that are too bright eventually gotta go. I've made an exception for Ruby and Marshal though they're just too cute but I probably won't be moving in any pink villagers y'know?

I really love Tia, but my town doesn't fit her theme. I mean I guess it could in some way. My town is basically just all pink and I don't think her white, blue and yellow style would fit too well. I love her design though!
Anything "too loud". The only exceptions I'll ever make are Gigi and Lucky. My original villagers who I fell in love with and couldn't possibly not include. The other eight gotta look like a real animals or gtfo.
Some loud designs I like though: Ankha! How could I not? But I already made the exception for Lucky, and having her would make them too matchy. I think Clay and Coco are such cool ideas/designs, but too much for my current town. Oh, and so many of the other cats. I loved Kabuki since I was a kid, but he is WAY too loud...

There's lots of villagers I like, but can't fit all of them in my town. So I basically just choose the ones I like the most and have backup ones just in case someone moves out on me unexpected. My town doesn't really have a theme, so anyone is fine to be in my town regardless of house design and such. Some ones I would love to have in my town, but didn't do are Rosie, Skye, and Kid Cat.
I love way too many villagers so there's no way I could experience them all. But I let some of the villagers in my main town of Sakura move out every once in a while so I can cycle through more villagers. I don't have a permanent set of dreamies like most people.
I just really love that she's fully "sky" themed! Her fur color and her hair is literally a cloud on her head. That's such a cute detail.
But I wish I was more of a fan of wolf villagers in general or I'd have her in a heartbeat no matter what.
Still, I do want to get to experience having her anyway, even just for a second.

Tia is so beautiful and I adore her teacup head.
For me, I just hate the tone the Elephant villagers make when they play the town tune.
It reminds me of the sound effect they make in old cartoons when an obese person walks in, and I think Tia is too dainty!

If you ever have a Halloween or Egyptian themed town, having both Lucky and Ankha would be perfect! They're pretty unique, but the unique ones are the ones we all love. It makes me wish I could have more than 10 villagers sometimes. Then I'd have room for everyone!

I am not the type who themes their villagers with their town themes too closely. However, I do have an all cub town so maybe I can't talk lol! In my zen forest town, all villagers are welcome though. I would really like to have dotty, carmen, lucky and/or lobo. However it is hard to come across them and even harder to get a free, empty space in my non-cubs only town! I also have a lot of amiibo cards I love that I haven't moved in yet, once I get them on card I don't seem to feel the need to move them in because I have the security of always having them lol. So yeah, I totally get loving a villager and not getting them in your town.

Maybe Wolf Link? While I see his design cool and cute, something of him makes me not very want to have him as my villager. Not very sure what it is though.
I have the W. Link amiibo and I gotta say, I felt his personality didn't really match with Link in general and it was off-putting to me to have such a sassy, proud (smug) W. Link. If anything, I would've accepted him more as a lazy or toned-down jock villager.
And I hated his shirt and his house made no sense in my Zen town.
It's 8-bit NES style LoZ furniture.
