I have been wanting to make a dream suite for awhile now, but the thing is..do I have to use my REAL town? WOuld it get destroyed? I'm afraid something like that would happen. Another question that crossed my mind, do I have to have a perfect town for this? Or can it just be normal?

People can do whatever they want in your dream town, and it will not affect your real town in any way, as it is a copy of your town 
And you can have it whenever - your town doesn't have to be perfect ^_^

Nothing will happen to your town. It is just a copy of your town as of when you update it. When you go to a dream town and pick up anything, you don't get to take it home with you. Nothing in the dream sticks.
I have 2 towns/games and when I can't find that last darn fossil, I have my other mayor go to my dream town and pull up all the flowers, cut down trees and whatever else is needed until they find the fossil. They then leave the dream and the other mayor goes to the spot where the other mayor found the fossil. Of course, the town would have to have been updated that day.

It pretty much takes a copy of your town at that very moment and it allows it to be used in the dream suite! I won't go and have a new one done until my town is clean for the day and is not raining! I always like it to look nice
