Hate to say this, but the Best Buy DLC is a scam.

If you don't remember, all of the funiture that is being distributed as DLC at participating Best Buy locations are furniture that was already in the Japanese version of the game. This means that they decided to take furniture out of the game and use them to promote Best Buy which obviously they are getting paid by them to do.

I can't believe the localization team tried to pull a fast one like this.

That's simply not true. The raccoon wall clock was released as DLC in Japan (it wasn't natively in the game). The rest have not been released in Japan yet.

Oh! I thought it wasn't. However, it still is unfair to force people in America to go to Best Buy to get the DLC since Japan gets the DLC the normal way.

What I think is unfair is that Best Buy DLC is orderable, and things like the 7/11 set and European stuff are not. Our DLC is really not very special.

Idk about all that but I do know I can't even get the DLC from Best Buy. They suck.

There's no "scam" considering you don't pay for the DLC to begin with. Plus you can just get them from other people anyway since they're re-orderable.

You don't even need to go to a Best Buy to get the DLC either. There's been plenty of guides explaining how you can get the DLC from your home.

Yeah, but it's a very complicated process that not all people have the abilitie to do.

I found one to be really easy. Time consuming, but easy and it worked pretty well for me, too.

It doesn't work if you're physically in another country though. It's region AND IP blocked. So Europeans, Australians, etc can't get it. Also, people playing the US game but not physically in North America (like me) can't get it.

I read somewhere that in order for Japanese players to get the 7-11 stuff, they had to actually visit a 7-11. The only difference I see between us is that their DLCs are worth the trip. But, since I have a spare router that is now my designated Nintendo Zone, I guess it's not so bad. I can now download DLCs while eating cereal in my underwear. Plus, I save gas money!

Is there a victory dance emote that someone can let me borrow?

Also it would be weird to have 7/11 dlc even though a lot of people don't know what it is
Plus 7/11 didn't have to give Japan players special items- they chose to.

Very true. I feel like our DLC is mediocre items while the rest of the world gets the stuff we really want.
