Hate Crimes?

the abortion topic is only as closed/over as the entrants allow it to be.

a lively, truly debatable topic is more than welcome, but to make a topic that doesn't have much of a back and forth ability (like the abortion topic has, in differing opinions that are both correct for each person active in the topic) just to have a debate topic.. doesn't work.

i would say good job nook, but not only is the topic widely discussed and debated, but on top of that, he googled it.

nice try, but you can't really debate over whether or not a hate crime is really just.. :p

unless somebody here thinks that hate crimes are just, this isn't a debate topic.

this topic is now about stories of members who have witnessed or been victim to (and wish to share the story, their own choice) hate crimes. (which i think it was anyway.. but just a reminder for those thinking it's debate)

Ok, stop it.

I wouldn't mind if the topic was interesting, but theres noting to discuss here.

You're not asking for our opinions on anything thats really debatable, you just made the topic for the sake of it.

Also; saying that your own thread is making TBT more interesting is certainly something.
^ This is exactly

Get da fuq off mine and johns diq srsly

Thank you for the reply I was looking for, It wasn't my fault that I couldn't think of a debate topic, I didn't even know what it fit into and since there were many debate topics I thought that this would be one too. If I'm an idiot because I said this was a debate flame me and I'll cry.

So if you have nothing else good to say other than "Bad topic" or whatever then don't say anything because I and everyone else have realised the mistake that I've done and If it still hurts you because of a topic that you don't like then don't view it.

Anyway thanks for the reply I was looking for Psychonaut.

Josh. that's actually pretty mature of you bro. Nice to know we have some decent members left here.(:

Yes the subject does not make a good debate because it is so one sided, who's going to be in favour of it?

But everyone is assuming he's making a debate topic, but all he actually asked was if anyone knew anybody who had committed a hate crime, and to discuss them, not the subject on the whole. He does not mention "debate" anywhere.

@Pally: Thanks I guess :P

@Marcus: Ha, I noticed that I didn't too just now, It's the fact that someone stated it made me think I did.

You got bombarded with so many incorrect criticisms that you started to believe them :P

Anyway, now that that is sorted out, we can talk about what the topic is meant to be about. I no nobody nor have ever seen a Hate Crime being committed, but obviously all racist acts of violence that you hear bout on the News are hate crimes, so they do happen often.

this trannie girl that started going to my school, ive known her for years and told a few of my friends she was really a girl. pretty soon the whole school was talking about it and the dean talked to me and said what i did was a "hate crime" because she wanted to be known as a he. i dont believe it was. i dont hate her for being a trannie. nobody does. she then gets her little girlfriend to talk to me about it instead of being the man she wishes she was and coming to my face herself

but the next day at school, everyone sees her walking out of the GIRL'S bathroom.

That really isn't something you should have spread around.

Unfortunately he is in a tough place, we have these stupidly strict lines between what it is to be a man and what it is to be a woman. When you feel like you fit into the one that you anatomically aren't then what do you do?

You either try to fit into one side undetected or get looked at as a tomboy if a girl, or a sissy if a guy. Really both of these types of people are generally ostracized by those trying to be "normal" and it is just rough.

I'm glad I never came off as a sissy, but being gay I know plenty of guys like that, and yeah the way some guys react to those guys is to just try to get away. If it was a girl though, they wouldn't care. Society just has a problem with those who are different.

Well, there is this one kid at my school (Bradley) and just about every guy in my grade wants him dead. Although it might just be because nearly every girl (no joke here) in school is obsessed with him.

That's Ironic, There's a kid at my school and just about every guy in the whole school wants him dead. He's scared of all girls and they hate him too. So everyone hates him, Even the teachers.

Any run of the mill idiot could have realised the consequences of doing that, I'm sorry but it's true.
