Has this happened to you? Villager leaves without a ping or mail?

Well... just wondering if this has ever happened to you before?

I just had a villager disappear from my cycling town without any notice. My mail has been cleared and I didn't get any goodbye letter from them either ;__; ... ? This has happened once before and I have no idea how.

I use the foolproof method to cycle, I've never lost any villager this way (unless I derped).

Maybe you never even greet them? I think is that case =x for ignoring there is no friendship at all and they don't even know you so leave without warning.

They don't send letters if you're not close enough as friends I don't think, I've had it a couple times while cycling too but it was in the very beginning.

As for no ping, I can't tell you since I've never used that method :c

XD talk tot hem more if you want them to stay and notice you with ping but since is a cycling town, these villager who you get close can be super annoying cause the closer you are the more likely they will ping, jerk ikr. But is alright~welcome the new villager with a wide smile and give them away to permanent happy house~RIP leaver~

If you don't talk to them enough or at all,they'll leave without pinging.If you TT multiple days at a time,you might miss their day in boxes.I usually TT only one day at a time so I don't miss any moving villagers.

It has happened sadly with cherry before and I did get a letter and i did TT slowly but no >> she had to be an escape ninja

I've been doing this awhile now. 2-3 weeks I believe and the only time I've had someone randomly move out is when I go from 2050-2012. It doesn't count as a year. When I skip to 2012 i usually go back to 1/1 as well... and skip day by day until someone is in boxes again. I never talk to any of the villagers.. ever. XD

Edit: sorry, to add on. Sometimes when I go from 2050 > 2012, it counts as a year and sometimes it doesn't. I usually have to run around and look for a plot and if I see one, I'll TT 5 days. @_@

The same thing happens to me when I do the skip from 50-12! It always gets messed up and nobody's ever in boxes after I do it normally (even if i go 2 years and 5 days it doesn't work) so that's probably the problem ;;

it iss. o: It messes it all up cause it counts 2050 > 2012 as one day.. since it thinks you are going backwards. And if you remember from normal tt no matter how many days you go back its 1 day. instead of saying 'its been awhile!' from isabelle she just tells you to have a nice day.

once im at 1/1/2012 i actually skip 2 days per until someone moves in. once someone new moves in then I skip day by day until another is in boxes. so usually it's like.. say 1/15/12 when they are in boxes. Then I start the year-year-5 days once again. if that makes sense :3

Ya.. *falls on knees* Whyyyyyy foolproof method, whyyyyy. I love it until I get near 2050, I always think "ughhh nooo" lol.

Happened to me with Cherry as well, except I don't TT. Other villagers would tell me that they heard she was moving but no matter how many times I walked past her she never once pinged me. She eventually ended up in my friend's town.
