Has anyone ever done anything unexpectedly nice in your town?

So I was on a date with my girlfriend for most of the day, came back and realized I had left my gates open. I was freaked out at first, and ran out of the train station in near panic. (This was my TT town, I had a ton of items on the ground and it was overrun with weeds, I also had Ankha moving out/in boxes).
However as soon as I stepped out, I immediately noticed that all of my items were organized near my train station (they had been spread out throughout my town) and all of my weeds had been picked.

I checked and absolutely nothing was taken. I talked to Ankha and she didn't say anything indicating that she had talked to anyone/was moving to a different town. I'm so confused, but also very happy that there are people out there who do things like this. Thanks to whoever it was! :D

D'awwww. I love random acts of kindness!

I have amazing friends on ACNL. A mixture of TBT people, friends from an old MMO called Glitch that is sadly no longer around, and my Japanese friends.

One thing I like to do when I visit to play around is leave a present for the host by their doorstep. A coffee, a hybrid, a Gracie item, a sparkler, etc. little things.

Bits of kindness I've received from others has been too many to mention. Things like: a free hybrid with a trade, a letter in the mail, free perfect fruit, watering my flowers. One time I found a 4 leaf clover after a friend visited near the train station that I know wasn't there before! She's so sneaky. >;3

Wow that's amazing!

Ill never forget my first ever visitor. I never played multiplayer in animal crossing before at all so I was nervous and didnt know what the etiquette is. I had a girl from tumblr visit me (I was just excited to have anyone come) and she hung out for a bit and after she left I noticed a bird on top of my notice board. She wrote that she buried a gift for me and good luck finding it. It was a frog costume and it was just really sweet of her to do that. I've payed the game forward a couple times myself.

I also love when visitors write me letters. I try to do the same for people that let me roam so it's a surprise!

Haha, that's so nice of you! In my old town, that was perfect, I'd usually include a jacob's ladder in every purchase/trade. ^_^ I can't do that anymore..but hopefully someday I can!

I usually leave a note on the bulletin board unless I forget. Random act: I went to someone's town on like one of the first days it was out in America to just hang out and they gave me a bamboo shoot. :-)

That's adorable. D: I've never thought about doing that, it's like a fun little hunt! Haha.
I always forget that I can write letters to people. >_< I feel like I should.

I had just collected 15 blue roses (the gate was still open) and a random person I forgot I added came in. Then another of my friends came in after that. My friend started to pick my blue roses off the ground while I was doing something else (I expected her to be the nice one) but then the random person said "STOP PUT THEM DOWN" and then my friend went out of my town with nothing.

Nice much?

The person who organized the items for you also got their own little bonus as well. They now have everything that you had on the ground in their catalog.

Somebody on another forum (non-AC) came to sell their turnips in my town for 500 bells a pop - they offered to pay me like 10% of their profits in exchange, but I don't really ask for that sort of thing, so I just said 'nah' and went AFK for a bit while he sold his turnips.

Came back half an hour later to find that he left me like 500k regardless. I suppose it's just common courtesy, but given how rare that is nowadays (especially since I didn't even ask for it), I thought it was rather nice.

I never visit someone without asking first so I don't think I'll understand this. Plus, whenever I invite actual friends over as opposed to people, I usually tell Porter to only invite best friends, but it's nice to see some good news spreading around.

I will often pay the entire bill for public works projects in other towns i happen to visit. I've done this 4 or 5 times so far (including one lighthouse)

Someone I traded with left me an extra item. And it was rather rare! (Emperors cap)

It was nice to find someone so kind, because people have stolen from me on multiple occasions. ;x;

I made a thread saying I wanted people to take my items for free because I felt bad just throwing them away and I figured I give them for free to people that may want them. So I invited someone over to give them their item and when they were about to leave they were looking at my flowers and I was a little nervous when they asked if I had all the hybrids. I said no, because I really didn't and they planted a pink rose right infront of me (: it was really kind of someone to do that even though I was just giving away items.

The people in TBT are the nicest I have ever wifi'd with (:

A few weeks ago I went to travel to my alt town and accidentally clicked faraway towns instead, saw that a friend had his gate open and thought I'd pop in and say hi. He was mutely standing in his house (took a while to find him) and I realised he'd obviously left the game on and gate open unintended. So I went into his museum, took note of all the fossil pieces he needed and then took a few out from storage (saved for the miniature models) and hid them around his town and posted on his bullitin board to declare the fossil hunt.

I BF messaged him a couple days later to check nothing got stolen from his town and found out that he fell asleep while playing.

Haha clever!

I have a friend who's inclined to random acts of kindness, which isn't the same as a stranger, but sometimes she really surprises me. She used to bury things around my town for me to find, but since pathing and putting bamboo damn near everywhere I imagine that's trickier now, lol. Once she planted a cute pink rose by my bamboo, and the other day she just started unloading over a million bells with no prompting at all. I'm still trying to find ways to get her back because jeez

Oh, I also had a shy person visit me once to hang out for the first time, and she didn't go in my house because she wanted to respect my privacy, hahah. She was adorable. She also walked very slowly everywhere and was timid about doing anything, which made me feel a little bad but still kind of stood out as polite. People who have laundry lists of rules for their town would love to have her over.

Some of my gold roses were stolen, however im sure I made her happy by not knowing so I couldn't reset...
