I've been more into decorating the island rather then the house. I have it completely paid off for the storage space. A few rooms have barely anything in them. I know what to do with them but the furniture hasn't been sold at my Nook's Cranny yet.
right now it's my spare DIY, turnip and other crap shack. and also putting all your wall items on a wall in your house is actually a great way to free up storage space. 1600 storage is not enough lol
This is exactly what I have been doing I have the attic now but out of my entire house only 2 rooms are decorated because I either can’t find anything to put inside of it or I’m too busy decorating my island.
I‘ve been collecting furniture each day to decorate eventually, but right now I only have a few antique/ironwood pieces in my main room jumbled up with a few kitchen items.
My left room is a turnip dump, right is the DIY dump, and the back has my cherry blossom item dump.
The plan is to make a sunroom/greenhouse-like room, a closet, and a main living space.
Nah, I've always been more interested in decorating my house rather than my island. I've opened up more to putting decorations outside lately, but my house is always a work in progress. Only moreso when I make extra characters for more storage space who will have their own houses to decorate, since I want more characters to go along with my history-themed island and am planning to have different countries and time periods represented. They'll probably always be about evenly balanced going forward, because I'll want to have nice things outside around their houses as well.
i really want to be creative in designing housing rooms have some ideas, but feel like the pieces available rn have been used in most of the ways possible already? like we all have almost the same kitchen nintendo, please....give us a break. not an encouraging feeling.
also tbh, i just prefer more modern/tech features. glass partitions, i yearn for you
Kinda would love a bigger variety of furniture before I even start decorating my house ): We've all said it before but I'll say it again - where are the taBLLESSS??
I've been neglecting my house, but not purposefully. My main problem is that I want black and/ or antique looking furniture which either doesn't exist or I'm just very unlucky finding anything fitting.
I do have a plant room. It's blue, I hate blue, but it looks fine. It's just not done. I also have a bedroom which is unfinished, but at least it's taking a direction I like. My living room is a black room with a purple rug and a white sofa in the middle, some random clutter and that's it. Kitchen - haven't been to my kitchen in days, so no idea what the situation there is I only know it's unfinished.
I would love to work on my house, but my tastes are very specific and I'm not exactly flexible there (I don't want to be flexible, either I have decorated rooms I like or no decorated rooms at all) and I just don't know what to put into my house.
OMG yes aha ;; terraforming is my number one priority at the moment, so my house has random furniture scattered about in the rooms. the only reason i've upgraded the storage is to hold more decorations to eventually use for my island once i have the terraforming down!
I am a minority then. I spent more time decorating my home.
Honestly, most players are using custom designs and panels to compensate the lack of furniture options when decorating their island. Outside of terraforming which takes too much time and energy, I am not gonna bother with it yet.
My eastern room is empty. I haven't touched my basement gym, bathroom and kitchen in a month. I've rearranged my main room a few days ago because I'm getting tired of the same view whenever I enter my house. Only went to the upstairs bedroom to hang my villager photos.
I'm still very hopeful of the return of series furniture. The selection we currently have just doesn't do it for me...
I hadn't neglected much of my house yet, but the only thing I've neglected was my basement which is a mess. I've only paid more attention to landscaping so far though.
