Harvest festival tomorrow! Are you all ready?

You may not need them. None of the recipes that I was asked to make needed scallops. It just depends on which of the recipes the game randomly picks for you.
Truly hope so, but I don't want to spend valuable event time diving at sea.

Those of you that are stressed, there's not too much to worry about - I looked it up and apparently the Harvest Festival is from 6 am to 10 pm, so if you have to do some extra diving there's plenty of time.

Well, FWIW, the Harvest Festival took far less time for me than Halloween did. Halloween took me about 2 hours to finally get all of the items, mainly due to the sheer number of them. If you already have bought all of the Harvest furniture items from the Nooklings, then there's only 2 new items to get, the cornucopia and the fruit basket. If you prepare most of the items you'll need in advance, it won't be so bad.
However, if you prepare nothing and/or your chef villagers want a lot of more rare, harder to find fish and/or Franklin chooses recipes with harder to find items (like scallops), then it could potentially take hours to do.
I am a little worried.

Beehive
Flat mushroom
Skinny mushroom
horse mackerel
Sea Bass
Dab
Olive Flounder
Barred Knifejaw
I do not have the following:
Apple
Banana
Lemon
Orange
Pear
Seaweed
Oyster
Clam
Scallop
Lobster
If the game asks for say, two things I do not have, I can just trade extra fish for the things I do not have, right?

I can't answer that, but for the exotic fruits, you can just go to the island. Maybe it will require some patience before you find a tour with the fruit you need, but it should be doable

There are only 2 Harvest Festival-only items, the Cornucopia and the Fruit Basket. But first, I must explain.
Franklin will ask you to make 4 recipes - a salad, a soup, a main course, and a dessert. He will tell you 3 ingredients, but there is a 4th secret ingredient. You can get a hint as to what that is from your villagers that are dressed as chefs, after you give them the fish they are asking for. Giving them a fish is also how you get butter, flour, and other ingredients that you can't normally get.
The first dish that you successfully make with all 4 ingredients, to include the correct secret ingredient, gets you a fruit basket. If you get all 4 dishes correct with all of their ingredients, you will get a cornucopia. Every other time, you'll get a Harvest set item (same ones you can buy from the Nookling store). I'm not sure what happens if you get the wrong secret ingredient. You might get just a Harvest set item for that too.

You'll be fine. If you go to your chef villagers (all in their houses) and give them the fish they want, they will give you items that you are missing. I don't know if they'll help you with the fish or not, but I know they'll definitely give you missing fruit.

okay i finally readies! i gots everythings!
So far 3 of my villagers ask for dab in exchange for things.
Vic give milk, rizzo lemon and kiki thin mushroom.
I think same villagers will give the same ingredients?
Bree ask for horse mackerel, she gives flour.
Villagers cook will also give tips about what to add as the secret ingredients for the dishes

No. Unfortunately. I was pretty disappointed by that. Your villagers will keep doing what they've been doing all day before you even started helping Franklin.
