Since it is Sunday, I thought it might be nice to discuss Happy Home Academy's ratings! Personally, I'm terrible with decorating, so my scores are never great. I feel like this forum would be a good place to discuss HHA related things! Whether it is what rewards are earned with each rating (such as the pennant at 10,000), discussion about what rooms are being rated and how DIY and customization might work into ratings, or simply letting us know how you scored and how you did it, this could be a place for all of that! I look forward to hearing your thoughts, opinions, and stories.

So does the Happy Home Academy assess your house every Sunday? Today is my first day getting a letter.

I got about 22,000 points today and I have like two things in my second room and 0 things in my third room (though it was only expended today). My main room is pretty standard, bed in the right upper corner, couch and table in the left upper corner, mirror on the left, clothesline on the right, work bench at the front left and a bunch of plants everywhere inbetween.

A way to "cheese" the scores is to fill up your house with your rare catch - fish/bugs. You will easily hit S rank doing so and get the pennant. After which you can return to normal decorating and let the nicer furniture be unlocked gradually.

I got 39,258 points and A rank. I have 3 rooms right now.

I got an S rank. I’m assuming that this is because I had about 20 tarantulas in my living room lol

Oh! It updates every Sunday. That explains a lot. I was wondering about that. I love decorating and finding furniture in ballons and in different shops quickly became a second hobby in ACNH!

I just got my first letter and according to it I have 29,001 points which puts me at Rank A. I only got the HHA pennant. I have since changed it since I got a new bed from my friend, but this is the rundown of what I had.

Main Room: I have the wooden bed, wooden bedside table, rocking chair, wooden dresser, and wooden floor mirror all customized to white. My bed had a customized pink bedspread on it. I had the succulent plant on the bedside table. I have a monstera and a ship in a bottle. I also have the Hello Kitty x Isabelle poster in my room. I have a cute worktable (pink) with a welcome pink heart plaque above it. My pink portable raido that started in my tent next to it and a red vacuum. I have a white rattan basket that Timmy/Tommy gave to me. I have the ironing board which is customized with the pink gingham. I have the white writing desk and a wooden chair customized white. At the time I had a star mobile hanging over my desk.

Finally, in the last corner of the room I had two cardboard boxes with a praying mantis and an orchid mantis with a picture or Reese and Cyrus hanging above them. (Reese over the pink one and Cyrus over the green one).

Oh! The walls are the plain white walls that you start with and the carpet is the red dot flooring.

Back Room: just expanded today, so it was empty

I have no idea if the outside counts or not. I was just thinking the inside of the house counted. I wish Lyle or Lottie would have showed up to explain details, but oh well.

My four room house scored 72028 points today (S rank). I have a decent amount of stuff, so not sure if it's linked to amount of furniture and rooms you have.

I have two additional rooms, scored 54,204 points (Rank S) and I got a Bronze HHA plaque for this (I think the plaque was for topping the 20,000 point mark).

I'm not sure how many points I got but they gave me a B ranking which is honestly a miracle lol. I'm not great at decorating even when I have the furniture I want but right now my room is just full of random stuff I've collected. I did get the HHA pennant though which surprised me!

I got 91K yesterday, I forget which rank, although I had achieved 'S' before. They sent me a 20-inch wall-mount TV.

I've only been putting items I really want out in my rooms, not trying to pad the score, so it'll take me a bit longer to get the gold house. Also, I haven't got a basement yet, but is that included in scoring, or is it exempt so you can use it for extra storage, as in NL?

the basement does get graded in this game.

i think I got 103k this week? I was previously getting around 130k because I was leaning heavily on feng shui, but I started the process of decorating my house how I actually want it to look and the feng shui didn’t really align with that.
