Halloween Question!

So it's almost Halloween in my town (and maybe yours as well?)
I was just wondering if you need the full costume set to scare your villagers on that day....
Will the mask be enough? or do i need to go all out and find the shirts/pants as needed??

When I played through Halloween on my side town I just had the masks. I'd also wear a pattern. Villagers and Jack ruin your clothes if you lose game with them/don't give him candy. Each villager has a certain masks they fear. (example: Cranky wolves are afraid of the werewolf mask. lol)
