Introduction
In Animal Crossing City Folk, there is a hairdresser called Harriet. She is a poodle, who works in a shop called shampoodle, which is in the city. After completing Nooks Work, you gain access to the city, and you can go to shampoodle.
At Shampoodle, there are two main things you can do. You can either get a Mii Makeover, or a new haircut.
The makeover costs 3,000 bells. You can choose a Mii you have already created at the Mii Channel, and make your Animal Crossing character look just like it.
The Haircut also costs 3,000 bells. You can change the style and colour of the haircut by answering a little questionnaire.

Opposite Gender Hairstyles
In City Folk, it is possible to get opposite Gender hairstyles. Males can get female cuts, and females can get male cuts.
In order to get opposite gender hairstyles, you must have every possible haircut of your own gender at least once. That means if you are male, you must have all of the male cuts before unlocking the female cuts, and the same goes to females.
After getting all of your own gender cuts, f you go back to her, she will say how good you would look with a opposite gender haircut.
Once she has commented on how good you will look, she asks you;
Choice A : Cut it out! Prompts you back to the style questions for your own gender.
Choice B : R-really?! Prompts you to the question set for the opposite gender.
