Well.... my thoughts on hacking are sorta mixed. When it comes to hacking myself, I used to use an action replay on my copy of Wild World to spawn all fruits, golden tools, max bells, rare hybrids, and buildings/rocks in locations they normally wouldn't spawn. When you do hack, it does take some of the fun away of working towards the things you want, but at the same time it gives you a lot more freedom. A good comparison would be Minecraft: survival is like regular AC in how you have to work really hard to accomplish any builds or constructions, and creative is like hacking, in how you can still work hard for stuff, but you're still sorta 'cheating' in a way. I guess it just depends on what you're actually hacking in-game; I'm against hacking millions of bells, but if you're going to hack in a PWP in a river, I'd be fine with it.

In general I am against hacking, because it is unarguably cheating and damaging to Nintendo.

Erm... what? It doesn't affect Nintendo in any way and, if anything, it's free advertising for them if all these hacking videos and whatnot pop up all over the place.

I generally disagree with people hacking their towns too though, unless it's for minor things such as having both police stations or getting a specific item that's not in your catalogue.

It's fine if you hack your game and mess around with the stuff in your town. Though if someone were to hack the game and max the bell limit and CLAIM they did it legit without any hack is a dumb thing to do in itself, it's alright if you hack the game and get all the items and dlc items with hacking though if someone asks if you got it all legit definitely be honest about it.

Personally, hacking the game makes it a lot more fun for me! I love to reconstruct and redesign the layout of my town, the things in it, etc. etc. I think it has to do with where your interests lie. I just enjoy city planning and reorganization lol! It's the same way with the furniture in my house outside of the game - I rearrange when the seasons change!

It's not fair to judge someone's gameplay style if it differs from your own preferences. No one else should shun or scold or "disapprove" of hacking, because as long as it doesn't affect you and your own enjoyment of the game, it's a-okay! Morals and politics are very different sectors. No one is fooled when others take more credit than they should when showing off their hacked town, and for those people who DO take more credit than they really should... well... lol!

I do it from time to time~ I feel that it's fine let people play the game how they want to, unless they're making some profit or hurting somebody else's game. Hacking can help alkt of people by getting them their dreamies or items, but don't do that on here lol.
