Hacking 0-0

Ok so I was at club tt, and I ment this person. (It was the north American island.)
And he said that his town was "hacked." So I add him then go to his town. look and stuff, so being the person I am, I added them. I went to their town, there were sharks on the ground (as a leaf item.) that you could pick up and sell, they had like banana trees on the main land, 1x1, and on the plaza they had Tree stumps. And trees and stuff, they had items in there river, and all sorts of crazy stuff!! I thought new leaf was un hack able?? And then I played with them again and they "took a dream address and made it there town." Same mayor and everything. I don't understand. Is this even possible? I saw it for myself??

I mean like thy took someone's dream address town and they played on them selves and OPended the gate and stuff.

I can't believe you went to their town. If someone told me their town was hacked or corrupted, I wouldn't go near them for fear that it might affect me. I suppose your game is still okay?

Every game is 'hack-able' after a while. That's one of the reasons why the quality of gameplay goes down when the game is out for a longer period of time. But I believe as Punchyleaf partly said, that the newer Japanese versions have more fixes in them.

That was pretty interesting to read. I don't really play with people I don't know, but good to keep an eye out just in case.

Doesn't even remotely surprise me. Virtually every game has been hacked at some point or another. Hopefully we don't see a repeat of WW in NL.

have you heard about the recent trick? People tell you to go to their town and say that they have "special stationary that's worth a lot" or something like that. It's actually scavenger hunt-lists. If you don't have a powersaves or use the online hacking method(I'm not going to link it here for reasons) then you can't get rid of it. That inv slot is gone forever.
