Currently, I'm working on a town that is 100% unhacked because I want to do the work and make it original without hacking, because that feels like cheating to me. But, I hacked a town before this town and I loved doing it. It was so cool to just design a town at my pleasure and not have to worry about bells or anything like that. Should a get a second copy of the game and hack it for my own creative purposes? Should I only hack for bells or something so I can design in the game? Or should I hack on the website and design from there? Or should I not hack at all because hacking is evil?
i have a hacked town and a semi hacked town.
The semi one is to only get villagers and line them up and i plan to do everything day by day in that town.
My hacked town is great lol. I dont feel like its cheating and i mainly use hacking for landscaping now for this town so its fun to experiment where to place things like trees ett.
Its your town and ideas so you do what you like with it.
I love both hacked and non hacked towns.
The only thing i wish i hadnt done was fill out the encyclopedia for my hacked town and now i dont know what bigs and fish need donating lol.
if you genuinely did enjoy hacking, i think you should have a 2nd town for hacking- i guess it doesn't matter if some people think hacking is cheating; it's your game and you can play any way that makes you happy! and it seems hacking was a really fun experience for you, so if you want to keep your unhacked town completely untouched, i do recommend getting a 2nd copy for a hacked town
If you want, you can, but if you don't want it to look hacked or anything then you could hack saplings and stuff. Maybe consider a second copy if you just want to hack a town as much as you like, it's your choice
I also think you should consider getting a second copy. This way you would be able to keep hacking if you like it (never tried, I don't know anything about it but as long as it doesn't hurt anyone, well!) and one to play way more casual. I find it nice to be able to choose what you want to do, if you feel like actually "working" on a town or just to talk to the villagers and play the game.
Never regretted buying another one.
