It's really not the worst thing in the world to make a thread about a question that could easily be googled.
IDK if someone's hurt because of something, you could try to just not reply instead of invalidating their feelings.
It's just really unnecessary.

Well no but as you said your character freeze a bit when you dive and come up in cold season but it doesn't really matter what you wear

She was wondering whether there were any long-term consequences if you wear short sleeves in winter, so I told her that you freeze to death and your character dies as a joke. I know the shivering is just a visual effect and is no big deal.

I don't remember reading any rude replies. Remember that you can't always understand a person's "tone" through writing. The writer may be joking, but the reader will be offended, thinking the writer was being sarcastic and mean. I tend to give short, matter-of-fact answers. I'd like to think that people understand that. But, IIRC, you were also making jokes in the thread about wearing summer clothes in the winter.

Yeah, I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to disagree with you. I haven't read any of the threads in question, but no one asks to be made fun of unless they say "please make fun of me" without any sarcasm. If someone refers to their own question or self as stupid its because their embarrassed and/or aware of their own "flaw" in not knowing what seems to be common knowledge. There's nothing wrong with being able to laugh at yourself or knowing your knowledge isn't perfect. Making this thread was probably a bad move, but that still doesn't make it an invitation. I know you said "practically asking" so you probably know that making this thread created the opportunity to be made fun of, but just because an opportunity exists, doesn't mean it should be taken. This isn't meant to be an attack at you in general, but it really bothers me when people place the fault with the person being hurt. It's a cultural attitude to say things like "that person's shirt is ugly, that person asked to be humiliated, the fault is there's, not the person who hurt them's!" Again, not a personal attack, more like cultural criticism. I believe they call it victim blaming.
