Gutted isnt even the word!

Yesterday, without really realising, my daughter had managed to grab my DS of the side and was playing with it. Little did I know, until I switched it on this morning, that she had some how removed my file and now I have lost my precious villagers and town. Im not as upset as I would be if I had played longer but its a massive lesson learnt for me. I'm not mad at her or anything, she didn't know bless her. It was my fault for leaving it laying around

*sigh*

Onwards and up and I guess. Time to get over it and start again. Has this happened to anyone before?

Oh my I'm so sorry , I've never lost a town myself but I can imagine it's devastating.

I would be sad as well, I do not know how much work you put in so far but I do know even that first two weeks and starting a town you like are tough. Also that in a new town fruits non island or native, the three Isabelle doesn't give are hard to get at first. I am still missing three and accidentally say yes to villagers then forget don't have yet. I do have another town though, I can not transfer to myself but if you need anything let me know. So sorry this happened.

Well I reset and it took me five attempts - turning the game off and on - to get the map that suited me. Its spacious and I can already see my future plans for it. To make everything all better, Whitney was there. She is my villager once again!! ^_^
She was my favourite from my previous lost village and I'm super pleased to have her back. I have Angus too and he's very sweet!
I have Peaches as a fruit but I am after Cherries and Apples since they look fab during the Autumn and Winter months ^_^

I had a similar situation. I like to keep all my electronics like new, screen protectors, cases, etc to protect it from drop damage or scratches. Well that day, I took off my case because it was affecting my wifi and i left my 3DS on the couch. My niece who was 2 years old at the time decided to play with it and ended up dropping it to the floor. Nothing happened to my game luckily but my 3DS was scratched up and a little dented, I was mad but mad at myself mostly.

Thank you all so much. I did have a nice collection of black roses that I now have lost. They were so pretty and I had them up by my railway track for Halloween.
I'd say my top dreamies are Julian, Annabelle, Moe and Phoebe. Moe is probably the top at the list because his eyes got me when I first saw him on the sites and Phoebe is in close second because she is so awesome!!

It is pretty sad that I had to restart again but my village will get there eventually.

I've manage to get cherries from Isabelle so those are ticked off so yay!!

I'm sorry that's terrible. Something similar has happened to me before where I lost my town I had played obsessively for months. I had all my paths down, and PWPs, and even unlockeed Katrina and Emporium. I've been resetting for the same map ever since

Oh my, so sorry for your town and so happy you have Whitney back Yes, it has happened to others. I've heard reports of siblings fighting over a shared town and deleting deliberately and another person who was planning to delete a side character but accidentally deleted the mayor and therefore the entire town! The sweetest case was an online friend whose disabled brother deleted her town at least 3 times. She was so sweet about it and just came back to the boards to regroup and collect those dreamies all over again. I think she could rebuild a town in about a week - she knew all the shortcuts. She has moved on to other things, or I would definitely get you two together so she could give you some pointers. Good luck to you!

Yikes, that's awful. Sorry about your lost, but at least it sounds like you're doing your best to turn this situation for the better. I hope that in the end your new town is even better than your last.
