Gulliver & Redd are Missing...

Ever since the last update to introduce Leif and Redd, Gulliver and Redd have not visited my island. Redd came once, as planned, and introduced himself... and that was it. And I used to have Gulliver pretty regularly each week but not since the update. I play daily and usually for a couple hours at least... Has anyone else experienced this? I can’t seem to find anyone else talking about this online

redd and gulliver definitely appear a lot less frequently than other npcs - i get redd maybe once or twice a month if i’m lucky and gulliver seems to have the same rate. it’s entirely possible that gulliver’s chances of appearing got nerfed as i do remember his visits being a bit more frequent when the game first came out but redd just seems to just be a pain in the and shows up whenever he feels like it ;u;

I've had Redd visit three times and the same with Gulliver.

i can assure you that they are not missing...lol...the spawn rate for redd is just ridiculously low and it's a shame. gulliver comes and goes too but redd is definitely notoriously elusive. i haven't seen anything about gulliver's spawn rate getting nerfed but i wouldn't be surprised if this was the case.

I started keeping track before the datamined info about visiting NPCs came out, and my in-game experience has reflected the datamined info exactly. The five rotating NPCs (Gulliver, Redd, Flick, CJ, Label) will appear on the two weekdays the three non-rotating NPCs (Leif, Kicks, Saharah) don't appear. You will never have one of the rotating NPCs two weeks in a row, and sometimes you won't see one of them for three weeks, but I haven't yet seen any of them fall out of a predictable rotation.

For example:

Week one - Flick & Gulliver
Week two - Redd & Label
Week three - CJ & Gulliver
Week four - Flick & Label
Week five - Redd & Gulliver

You can definitely get unlucky sometimes with the same visitor appearing more rarely for a couple cycles in a row, but it will balance out in the long run.
