Gulliver items !

Hi everyone !
I'm seeking the help of the community for an issue I had recently ! Gulliver came to my island, I woke him up, found his five missing communicator part and gave them back. The day after I didn't receive his gift nor did I find a rusted part in my recycle bin. The first time it happenend I though I did something wrong but yesterday I repeated the same process and still no trace of his gift today... Anyone know if it's a bug or if I'm doing something wrong?
I would like to know if it happened to you or just know your thoughts on this matter.

The same thing happened to me.

I have not seen him for weeks, and I was excited that he came to my island earlier this week. I did the thing, but I have not gotten anything in the mail yet...

Now that you mention it, he came to my island earlier this week and I never got a letter after helping him

Its weird, do you think it is just a bug or are we doing something wrong? Because the first time he came to my island I had no problem and received the gift the day after but suddenly the gift aren't making it to my mail box...
Edit : I check today to see if there was a delay but still nothing...

so far i have always gotten his gift the day after helping him though he does say it'll show up in a few days. The rusted part usually does take a couple days though.

Yeah, the first time i did it was okay, I receive the gift and the rusted part but, I did help him 2 other time and nothing has arrived, neither the gift nor the rusted part, I'm at a loss...

The last time I helped Gulliver he gave me an item and I found a rusted part in the box, so I'm not sure what's up.

I haven't experience this and have had Gulliver on my island recently but I have seen a thread about this same topic apparently few people are having this problem. Its not wide spread but couple people have experienced it. I don't know the solution or what causes the bug but you could report it to Nintendo?

Maybe this? Seems like a decent way to get in contact with somebody, at least, and then they might pass the message along to the people who can help.

It sounds kinda similar to the problem some have had where the HHA doesn't send their weekly letter sometimes, even though your villagers ask you if you've read yours yet. I wonder if it's related in any way?
