Hey guys! I've seen a few posts recently on how to make bells quickly, or how to make a lot of bells. So here's a guide that might help x3
-Fishing & Bug hunting
Fishing and bug hunting is one of the most popular ways to make bells. Most people, (such as me)
Go to tortimer a island after 7:00pm to catch rare island beetles. They can be sold from a rang of 6-12k per bug.
The best way to get these bugs is to cut down every tree in the island (bushes are ok) except for 2-3 palm trees on the east and west side of the island. Then scare away any other bugs so more rare ones can spawn in. E.g. Roaches, tiger beetles, etc.
Fishing is also one of the ways to get bells. The best time to fish is on a rainy day. Look for large shadows in the water, and you'll find rare fish that sell for a lot. For example, the blue marlin, and the Napoleon fish.
-Turnips
Turnips is a great way to make quick bells, but you have to be careful to sell them before they rot. They have a life span of 1 week. Joan sells them every Sunday! Make sure you don't sell your turnips if the price is lower than what you bought them at. This is kinda like a stalk market. (There is actually a stalk market community thread, so you should visit there is you want to sell your turnips.
-Flea market
When you visit retail you can put items up for sale on the blue tables. I usually put the fossils I already have in there for my villagers to buy. Usually a villager comes into the shop when you talk to Reese to sell stuff. Fossils can sell for at least 1000-5500, so when you put it up on the flea market, double the price so you can make a good profit.
-Special stumps
When you cut down trees, sometimes their stump has a special pattern. When you see one that does have a special pattern, leave it for a few days and check up on it to see if it grows any mushrooms around it. Mushrooms are also a good way to make bells! They usually sell for 2000-16000 bells depending on how rare they are.
A gold axe increases the chances of getting a special stump, and it never breaks.
A silver axe always produces a special stump, it can be obtained from the island, it's also rare, but it breaks after a while.
-Perfect fruit
Farming perfect fruit trees is another great way to make bells. Usually at the start of the game, you find one tree with a perfect fruit on it. Make sure you don't eat or sell that one until you plant it and get more. Make sure you always have a continuous supply of perfec fruit, since perfect fruit trees die after being shaken 4-6 times. A full inventory of stacks of 9 perfect fruit should give you 432k when you sell it in a different town. Native perfect fruit sells for less in your own town so make sure you sell all your perfect fruit in a friends town!
-Rocks
Every day, there is 1 rock that is fake, and when you hit the rock, it breaks into a piece of ore. There are lots of different ores: sapphire, ruby, emerald, gold, silver, and amethyst. They can be used to customize certain furniture as well. There is also another rock that can be found. Every day there is a "money rock" and when you hit it with a shovel you get money out of it. There is a certain time limit from when you start to hit it will give you coins and bags of money, so be quick about it.
