Guaranteed Solid Balloon Spawns Every 5 Minutes!!

My methods vary from hers slightly due to my nooks cranny being very far out of the way.

Step 1) Deposit 1 Bell into your ABD

Step 2) Run to the side of the beach where your balloons are flying in from.

Step 3) Wait until the time hits 0:05 or 0:00 (I fish or petal catch during this time)

Step 4) Run up and down the beach until you hear the swoosh sound and use your camera to look up for the balloon.

Step 5) Repeat Step 1 through 4.

There will be easter balloons spawning as well but ignore those and look for the solid colored ones as they will be spawned!
Good luck for those still grinding for cherry blossom recipes.

it's what worked for me and i haven't bother to try it without depositing. But if that works too, even better.

That certainly would have been useful before the 7 hours I spent today finishing all of the recipes.

They have the potential to spawn every 5 minutes, but it is not 100%

I think there's some real validity to this. Every night this week I've been trying to collect all the cherry-blossom recipes and have only found 8. Doing this method tonight gave me the remaining 6 in only 3 hours. Thanks for sharing!

I’m not sure why this works, but I had 6 balloons, 4 gold and 2 blue spawn back to back! One of those balloons had the golden slingshot!

Balloons can spawn every 5 minutes regardless of the ABD. Just not a 100% guarantee. They have a greater chance of spawning every 10 minutes, though I've seen a couple times now where I didn't get one (?), so I don't think it's 100% guaranteed for that either.

Once Easter is over, it will be easier as the Egg balloons won't be hogging the sound space.

They have a CHANCE to spawn every 5 minutes but this methods guarantees it 100%

someone said up top, you don't need to deposit anything into the ABD, just interact with it. Also going into nonresidential building such as the museum and nooks cranny and interacting with the NPCs will do the same thing, but I chose ABD because it's a central location on everyone's map. I have only tested the depositing 1 bell into ABD and that's what worked for me. By interacting with the NPC or ABD it somehow resets the balloon spawn timer and guarantees a solid balloon every 5 minutes on the 0:00 and 0:05 minute mark.

The twitter user did state that going into residential buildings do not work and you must be outside by 0:09 and 0:04 minute mark for this to work.

I was able to finish getting the cherry blossom recipes for my fiance's island last night due to it spawning 12 balloons an hour and plan to do it again for my alt account to get more recipes.

Yes the balloons will spawn every 5 minutes regardless of the ABD but it's not 100% guarantee like you said, so you could be waiting there for 30 minutes and have only seen 2 solid balloon spawns in that time. The easter balloon spawns and the solid balloon spawns are on separate timer from one another, the easter egg doesn't take over the spawn spot of a solid balloon. Yes you may hear the swoosh sound for the easter balloon, but keep going up an down your beach and DEFINITELY use the camera so you can look at the sky. It;s unfortunate that the cherry blossom season ends before the easter event, so today is basically your last chance to get the recipes. THIS method does work as I was able to get 12 solid colored balloons every hour for 6 hours. Coincidence? Lucky? Either way, it worked for me and I'm pretty sure it'll work for everyone if you're doing it correctly.

Can confirm as well, however I am currently doing them Museum way.

I go to Blathers with a random fish I caught and do the "Tell Me About This!" but cancel when the inventory is shown.
Then I just go to the beach and wait.

However, the latest round, I didn't find a ballon
