Growing town tree?

So if the tree grows depending on the number of days played and also the number of hours if I leave my DS open all day would the tree grow?

It won't grow just from hours alone, it needs to have the days as well.

Thats the same with me I think I have the number of days but 500 hours for a fully grown tree will take a long time playing only a couple hours a day
