I don't dislike jocks, I have Roald and Cobb and they are great. But now my empty lot says Boone is moving in and there's only so much talk about muscles I can take, lol. So since I want him to leave is it better to not talk to him at all? I mean not even once. I have heard they will want to leave if you don't speak to them even one single time. Can anyone confirm this?

Unfortunately it’s an unproven myth as far as I know. Your best bet is either forcing him out via Amiibo or waiting for him to have the thought bubble which will be harder until someone else moves out first.

Not talking to them and hitting them with your net won't change whether or not they want to move. You'll have to wait for him to ping or kick him out with an amiibo unfortunately

It seems pretty random in this game - someone will ask to move out every couple of days for sure, but nothing you do can influence who moves, as far as I know. So your best bet is to just keep cycling through the days if you TT until the villager you want to leave pings, or if you don't TT it'll be a much longer wait.

I think you have to talk to him at least once and introduce yourself for him to be able to be selected as the one who wants to move. It's random who is picked to move out, hitting with nets or ignoring them doesn't do anything.

Thanks all! I had a feeling that was the case. it's my fault anyway cause i did island hop but didnt pick anyone and i should've. i actually liked bettina the mouse but i had only gone to a couple islands and i was really hoping for molly or stitches. wont make that mistake again.

Sympathies. I had Hamlet and Cousteau and picked up Axel from someone's void after Colton moved out. I still have all three and it's been weeks.

I've heard that ignoring villagers does NOT make them leave faster and it's totally random.

I think if you accept them moving out when they ping, there's a longer time between the next ping. Snooty moved out the weekend before last and I haven't had another ping since then.
