I would like to know if I need to water my flowers every day to grow my grass back even though I have signed the Beautiful Town ordinance into effect or whether the grass grows back like in Animal Crossing Wii where all you have to do is just play at least once per day?

I read somewhere that even if you walk on your worn grass once it won't grow the next day so it would be kind of hard to my water flowers. I just planted a load of flowers and left them and slowly but surely my grass is growing back :)

Yes you do. Which is why it's good to have the silver or gold watering can since the gold covers a 9 flower square so you don't even have to step on the dirt and the silver covers 5 flowers(?) which is pretty handy

I don't do anything (I even continue to walk over the area) and the grass grows back. Usually my villagers plant flowers there, but I don't water them. :)

I wish the grow-back was much quicker. Then again, it never really grows back in high traffic areas since we NEED to walk around town. Perhaps the next DLC will be 'wings' or a 'jet propulsion backpack' so that we can fly around town preserving our grass.

I don't water anything, I have Beautiful Town Ordinance in effect, and I have almost no grass left at all. There aren't any areas on the map where I don't walk several times every day. I hate how the game punishes you by playing frequently. I have flowers everywhere--far too many to spend time watering. I just have to live with the dirt and lack of grass.

It'd be nice if the Beautiful Town ordinance affected grass regrowth rates. Weeds, litter and cockroaches are barely a problem for daily players, and not having to water flowers is not something I find enticing.

Of all the games to be encouraging people to "keep off the grass," I find it hard to believe that this is that game, but there you have it.
