Graduation Gift

So what will you guys be getting for graduation? Discuss. Also, yeah some of you may not be getting large gifts for graduating like me for 6th and 7th grade but im going into 9th grade so its kinda big (completely new school for me too).

I also need help. I can't decide from getting an oboe rental and lessons, a large fish tank, or money to spend on a 3DSand other minor stuff. I really want to learn the oboe and possibly be in the high school's woodwind choir. If I got a large fish tank it would be very costly and a lot of work, plus it would probably be freshwater. A 3DS would be cool too.

Yeah, and going into 6th. Just when I go into new schools. and that is where the pickle comes in, my mom will get a little annoyed with me picking video games out and what she calls wasting money. So I would pick the oboe or fish tank, both very relaxing and the fish could become a new hobby besides music. If I do pick one of those two I will be missing out on a bunch of games coming out on the 3DS.

Not really a lot of my friends and people I know are getting something for graduating out of Middle School. Many are getting a lot more than me. One girl went to Atlantis for a week and got front row tickets to a Justin Beiber concert. Another person got an extremely large fish tank and wants to put turtles in it.

See, for me it was more of a deal thing. My parents said that if I pulled up my biology and geometry grades up from D's and C's (I ended up with an "A" in Bio and a B- in Geometry), they would get me SMG2. So, but studying like hell, I pulled them up. Regardless, I would only get a graduation present if it was from hight school to college. I think that's just spoiling your child. If I wanted a "gift" for graduating the 9th grade and going into the 10th grade, I'd have to buy it myself.

What. This is the second time I've come across a post talking about "eighth grade graduation" or more perplexingly "seventh grade graduation." There are two graduations: high school and college. Everything else, from preschool to fifth grade and on to eighth is just an exercise for the school to squeeze money out of the parents.

So if your parents are actually offering you a reward for making it through eighth grade, something that practically happens on its own, milk them. Milk them for all that they're worth.

And if you already have a DS/DSL/DSi/DSiXLL just trade it in towards your 3DS. It's what I plan on doing. Use your own money. Save it and wait for something worth it. I'd never get any big gift like that for graduating.

That's the thing, I've been good all year. I've been persistent on the honor roll, have been chosen into going into an enrichment program, and gotten into algebra while others in 8th grade are taken pre-algebra.

Why would you want to play oboe?

I'm a very musical person, I know basic guitar and piano, and play trumpet and french horn for our band. I want to start a woodwind before learning another brass instrument. Also no one in both schools plays the oboe, it would help the band out.
