Can Gracie test more than one character per day? Or do the checks have to be completed one by one?

Gracie will do fashion checks with your alternate characters, yes. I've heard that those count towards the four, but I've never tried it myself.

I've used my alts before and they do count toward the total. To get her to do your checks in one day is impossible unless you TT backward to say, 5:59 AM the same date to keep her showing up so you don't have to wait weeks or months. But be careful about possible villager moveouts, tho.

I'm slightly confused by this. Do I have to reset to use the alts?

No. What she means is, if you're trying to get all the fashion checks done in one day by the same player, you'll need to TT. If Gracie is programmed to show up on a certain day, she'll always show up if you TT back to that day or restart the day at 6:00 AM. I actually did that in my first town, though, I didn't reset the clock to 5:59... I just went one day forward and back again.

But if you have four characters in your town, you can get all fashion checks done in one day! :)

YES THAT MAKES IT 100000000000000 TIMES EASIER THANK YOU THANK YOU
Thanks! c:

You're welcome! Also, I do have one more thing to note if you're trying to get Gracie to show up. I haven't tried this myself, but this happened to my boyfriend: he had Saharah on a day, and then TT'd, and when he went back to that day, Gracie was there instead. Gracie and Saharah are apparently programmed the same way. On that day I mentioned earlier when I did all my fashion checks, when I TT'd after the fourth, Saharah was there so... Kinda weird! Just thought I'd mention that.

Thanks, PandaBerryInSpace! I was off this thread so couldn't clarify my post. You did it wonderfully, tho. And yes, btw, I probably should have been more clear about using alts and the TT'ing back to the same day. I was too chicken to go a day forward, like you. I had this irrational fear that if I let a day go by that Gracie will somehow slip out of my insidious grip to keep her around so I avoid waiting freaking forever for her!

Oh, and thanks for the bit about Gracie and Sahara. Never knew or thought that could happen!

a potato...keep Gracie and TT! You'll save yourself so much grief and waiting. Unless, of course, you miss a possibility of a villager moving out. Be sure that doesn't happen to you. I've never had that happen, but it could if you aren't careful. Don't forget that TT'ing backwards always counts in the game as moving 1 day forward. So be careful. Have enough clothes, pass your checks, don't lose any loved villagers, and say hello to the Emporium! (And good-bye to all your hard-earned bells...) :D

Is there a way to make sure nobody moves out?

You'd think I would have this down since I reset four times(no joke), but I always end up forgetting. XD

It's actually funny how I found out about Gracie always showing up... It happened on the day Pierce told me he'd be moving. I TT'd to that day for someone to come adopt him, and saw Gracie in the plaza. Of course I stayed on the day and finished my first fashion check... Then TT'd back to the present, excited about having a fashion check under my belt already. Well, fast forward a few days in real life, when that day actually got there, and when I loaded up my game Gracie was there again! And then I just finished my fashion checks, knowing that she'd always be there on September 20th. :) Until the last TT, when Saharah was there, of course.

Bonus Question:

If I don't have an outfit she wants, could I just reset and start the day over to get a new one? (I should never have to deal with not having an outfit because I am almost done collecting outfits for all 10 styles! :D)

If you haven't saved, yes. If you saved after she assigned your theme, you're screwed.
You also could just order the clothing you need from the Nooklings catalog and TT to 5:00 to get them delivered to your house, meet Gracie in the Plaza, and pass.

Whatever you decide, good luck! You'll love your Emporium. :)

Thanks! I've had it twice before, so I know the joys of extensive TTing I mean patiently waiting a million years to upgrade...
