I know how to catch wasps. But since autumn requires you to shake trees for acorns and pine cones, I took the opportunity to get stung deliberately a couple of times so I could approach my residents and see what they have to say. Normal players collect items. I collect conversations. I know, crazy.

What I didn't know was that wasp sting stories get passed around! When I talked to Jacques today, I did not have a wasp sting on my face. And yet I got sting-related talk. This game continues to surprise me. I love it!

So what's your wasp sting story? Who pointed out/insulted/remarked upon your stung face and who gave you medicine? Are you an expert who never gets stung anymore? (But you'll miss out on some funny conversations!) Is your preferred method to catch the wasps or to run for the nearest building? Or simply to run around your islanders and watch them panic? :eek::LOL:

The dialogue when you're stung is fairly generic in this game.

In WW, it was superb.

The first time I talked to someone after I got stung by a bee, it was Eloise.

She said "And the doofus award for Montana (my WW town) goes to.. YOUR FACE!"

You don't get sass like that anymore, unfortunately.

after getting stun a buttload of times in this game & new leaf, i FINALLY have the timing right & i have learned my lesson of bringing a net with me always! esp since getting stung over & over brings me back to where i came from which is super annoying tbh. :/
i just got an achievement yesterday for catching 5 wasps in a row!
i was so happy! :')
now only if i could do the same with spiders & scorpions. ; w ;

The villagers in NH can be pretty snarky when you get stung haha. Peppies will straight up say you look like a monster (though they feel bad about it after). You can also get free medicine once a day from villagers you're friends with, which is nice! I thought they'd removed that entirely and it's so useful when you don't want to go pick up medicine from storage or craft it.

Tip: if you don't want to have your net out just for this, you can put on a wet suit and go into the water when they're chasing you. I did this all the time on the Nook Miles islands so I could chop wood without shaking them first.

The funniest wasp sting reaction from a villager I've gotten has to be this one from Marshal:

Also, once I "saved" Cleo from wasps. Or at least it looked like I did due to a random combination of factors.

I got stung by wasps while island hopping recently. It didn't bother me that much, but Carrie was very concerned about it. She was very nice and taught me how to make medicine which worked immediately.

Today I found Carrie sick at home. She was too weak to do much of anything, so I made some medicine using her exact recipe and she's doing much better now.

Not really a specific story- just name every time I've been shaking a tree near a flower patch and the bees fall out, and I can't run upward else risk stomping my flowers and so I panic and get stung.

It's so easy in this game to just take out your net and swing and catch them, too, but I always panic... 😔
