good villager auction/sell prices?

I always feel like I undervalue villagers bc i dont like being greedy. to me it's either Exact Price or Below Price.

say I wanted to auction or Marshal, Dom or Audie. regardless of originality, what would a good STARTING POINT be?

Well... are you looking for NMT, TBT, or IGB?

From a marketing stand point, for an auction a low starting point is a good way to get more people engaged/invested early on that can drive the bids higher and higher.

oh, nmt. IGB is a hassle to deal with and tbt i barely use now. im thinking 30-50 tbt for like a starting price for every villager??? like i dont like ripping ppl off yk

I think you would have to stalk previous posts about popular villager auctions like marshal, i know for sure popular ones can exceed 50NMT

I'd check out past auctions for those villagers, and you can also look at tier lists (on here or elsewhere) that can give you an idea of what they may go for and how popular they are. Often the popular ones can go above 50-100, and for someone who's kind of middle tiered maybe 5-20. I try to aim on the lower side because honestly, I don't have any use for like 1000 NMT and it feels so good helping people get their dreamies at a fair price!

I always just ask people to offer after I state if I’m after tbt, NMT, etc. like others have said, I’ve seen people say things like I WILL NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING BELOW 500 tbt and I feel like if I were a potential buyer, I’d be turned off. Even just having an auction with a low starting price and a decent buyout price will attract more people than a post like what I stated above.

50 for me would be too high to start an auction, personally.
For the popular ones, I'd probably start at 10 and do increments of 5 and set a buyout.
I know that some people are willing to pay over 1000 NMT's for these villagers, but then I ask myself - what would I even do with 1000 NMT's?
Also, I think the originality aspect does come into play since some people are very particular about their villagers' housing interiors so I'd always specify if said villager is original or not and what might not be original about them.
