good clothes to customize the sloppy set?

so, i'm working on fully expanding secret's house in my town before filling in the rooms. i might use the sloppy set for the basement, but i'm not sure yet.

if i do, i'd like to customize it using different pieces of clothing. i'd prefer either pale/pastel colors, or childish patterns, since it would be meant to look like an abandoned bedroom. it'll be in the basement and the lights will be off.

does anyone have any suggestions? i'd stay away from clothes with distinguished fashion features (idk what else to call them lol) like bows or buttons, because that would show up on the furniture too and i simply want patterns.
i don't want to customize them with qr codes either; secret's patterns are occupied by path qr codes and there's no room for patterns to customize furniture with.

you should try the kids smock, i know it has a button or two but it looks really childish- pastely-like also you should customize the kiddie set into a pastel theme, it looks just as good )

the kids smock is definitely a good idea because of the cute patches. i have it on my happy home designer game too so i can always just test it out when customizing a sloppy bed.
i'm not sure if i have it catalogued, but that shouldn't be an issue.

i do plan to use the kiddie set but it might be for a seperate room. i'm not sure yet. i might just make them one and the same.

iirc I used the bunny shirt for the lamp and it came out looking nice and like something a child would have, but I don't think it'd really work with anything else

it's still good to know, because i plan on using various shirts and not just one.

an abandoned kid's room makes me think of N's room from pokemon black and white
and that room has a cloud flooring with walls that have a purple+baby blue checker pattern...
so maybe something light blue and checkered? if there is anything like that in the game to use... sorry, i don't quite know all of the acnl clothes patterns (even tho the game has been out for like 3+ years lololol) :,,,)
