Is the golden stag the little one that is worth like 10,000 bells?

It is actually worth 12,000 bells, but yeah, it is the smallest palm tree beetle and is completely yellow / gold. If you cut down all of the non-palm trees on the island, then it shouldn't take you very long at all to find one. I usually catch about 5 in a half hour when I'm beetle hunting.

The thing with the golden stag is pretty much this: if you can see yourself moving, you're going too fast.

they are actually not hard to catch. every time I go island hunting, I catch 1 for every 7 bugs.
