Golden slingshot?

I just popped my 300th balloon (I know because of the nook miles) I read that you were gonna get the golden slingshot, and it would come by in a golden balloon..? I have played for over an hour and I still haven't seen any golden balloon, only normal ones\egg ones. Am I doing something wrong or??

I got mine from what I thought was just a normal yellow balloon. If you're playing at night, it might be hard to tell the difference between golden and not. The present isn't golden either, and it will contain a DIY recipe for it, not the actual item.

Within 10 minutes. I didn't even realize that's what happened lol I just popped a balloon and found the recipe.

I missed the golden balloon the first time, as it came at the same time as a regular one, I didn't realise I'd reached the 300th balloon and popped the regular one by mistake, breaking my slingshot >.<

It took quite a number of hours before I got the recipe from a regular yellow balloon.
