Golden slingshot question

Yesterday when I was playing my slingshot broke after I shot a balloon and I got a notification telling me I'd earned Nook Miles - it turned out to be my reward for the shoot down 300 balloons achievement! But since then I've seen maybe 3 or 4 more balloons in the sky, all of which I've shot down and I've still not got the golden slingshot recipe from any of them! Have I missed it?

It just takes a bit to spawn in

Took a little while for me to get it too and I do recall shooting some other balloons before the golden balloon showed up.

Took me about 10 minutes for the golden balloon to spawn. Shoot it down when you see it and the DYI is in there..

The balloon for the golden slingshot is golden. It can take a while for it to appear. Mine was the first balloon after, maybe try restarting your game?

Thanks everyone, I'll keep my eyes peeled for it, hopefully it will appear soon. Just wondered though if you see it and for whatever reason don't manage to shoot it down in time - eg. if you spot it when it's floating over the beach and you can't get it in time, which has happened to me a few times times before - will another one spawn? Is there a second chance?

It should continue to spawn (if you miss it) until you get the DYI from it..

I got my recipe yesterday. It took a couple of days after I got the achievement.

I shot my 300th balloon on May 3rd and still no golden balloon. And I play a lot and I'm always watching the skies. So who knows?

I think it took a day or two for me for it to spawn in but when you see it, it's very obvious. It's a golden balloon!

It took me after the update that fixed the 300 balloon glitch, it showed up as a golden balloon.

it took two weeks for mine to spawn, but you’ll get it eventually!
