someone told me that if i buried bells it would grow bell trees, i knew that - but she told me that if you buried the lowest amount you can, which is 100 bells - it will not grow a bell tree, but instead a cedar tree..? xD doesnt seem legit, but I thought I'd ask anyway if this is a true saying..

If you bury 100-900 bells, it won't grow a tree at all. It'll just show up as a buried item with the star marking.

i'm pretty sure the amount of bells you bury corresponds with the likelihood of a bell tree growing. there's a minimum amount of bells you have to bury too for it to even possibly work. i think the minimum is 30k bells? can't remember for sure.

I don't believe that you can get a cedar tree from planting bells. Also, the higher the amount of bells, the higher the percent that it will grow bells. I believe 90,000 bells is the best, as there is a 90% or 100% it will grow. The statistics are really weird but I got two Bell trees that way. The chances that, if you shake the tree and harvest the bells, which have 30,000 bells each, the tree will bloom bells again is an entirely different, and complicated, case.

The minimum is 1k.

Hmmm I am not sure but I think it just shows up as a buried object with the "x" on it.
But I think the minimum is off, a lot of people have different numbers telling you what to put but I am not sure what that is.
I thought it was a really high number-not a low number for the minimum. That is what I have always heard anyways.

Yeah, I usually bury around 1,000 to 10,000 bells just to be on the safe side plus a little higher chance. I believe it's at random/chance thing for them to grow bells. The last time I grew 90,000 bells on the one tree was a while back, recently started planting some and I haven't seen any yet xD I'm not sure if it's a fixed amount or not though cx

It does work but you can only shake the tree once and then its a normal sapling tree c:

I ended up burying 99k bags until they spawned with money. Even with the highest possible chance with those bags, it still took a few to get an actual money tree to grow. Whenever I'm just mass planting saplings, I go for 1,000 bells apiece.
