Gold catalog badge?

I would like to get the gold catalog badge. I made a list on moridb.com with ALL the items I still need. I ended up with a list of 683 items. I looked it up, and it says to get the gold badge, you need 80% of the catalog filled up. The problem is: I don't know how many items there are in total. Could anyone tell me the total or is there a way I can find out what it is? Have I reached the goal already?

Ps. It's been raining in my town for the last couple of days. Could that influence Phineas coming over to hand me the badge if I did achieve the goal?

I don't know the total but you haven't reached the golden badge yet.
The mayor in my new town came back from cataloging and the weather was nice. Tried the police station and nothing.
Missing were a lot of music, gyroids, some letters, Creepy Set, some special wall/ floors and 40 furniture items. Went to my main town and catalog all the music.
When I came back Mr. Badge Guy was there and gave her the golden badge.

I think you have to have 80% of each of the categories (furniture, clothing, KK songs, etc.). According to the ACNL app, these are the totals in each category. I'm not sure if all of these are needed.

Clothing: 1052
Furniture: 1486
Gyroids: 131
KK Songs: 91
Stationery: 65

edited to add - Wait. It doesn't include umbrellas. There are 35 of those.
