Glowing spot not spawning?

i didn't get one yesterday despite looking everywhere. if there isn't one today either, it's probably somewhere i can't see and i'll have to search more thoroughly rip.
yeah i noticed that too.
for so long i would always get it at the same spot at my campsite, but now it's showing up everywhere all over the island.
the other day it was behind fangs house.
the only way i saw it was because i was putting down custom designs and it moved the screen so i could see behind the house, i wouldn't have found it if i wasn't doing it in that spot.

Finally found it for one account, BEHIND a tree on a top tier! Now they make it so difficult to grow money. I don’t if I want to search again for other accounts...

I got an X on the ground yesterday, which confused me because I have fossils buried behind a cliff to get no spawns. It was 1000 bells. No, I didn’t have visitors. The hole didn’t glow, but I didn’t bury bells in it to see what would happen.

i've heard this is a glitch and people have returned to it later on only for it to suddenly be a glowing spot.
I have yet to get the non-glow glitch but the spot itself will only spawn on a free space where a tree can grow. So:

I realised this when trying to make a rock garden, I had free spaces but no glow spots every day.

I found spawning spot in similar layout before the update (I purposefully left some open spaces just for it) and but not anymore. Yesterday one account found the spot between two bushes, another account had it next to a fence, and today it is right behind a tree.

As far as I could tell neither of my accounts had a glowing spot yesterday. I guess I’ll try to search more thoroughly when I get on today if the spots aren’t in any of their usual places.
Hm. I don't know, then. But maybe someone else has had the same issue
Before the update, the glowing spot would only appear on my island in places where a tree could grow, but since the update I've found it in two places where the tree can't grow without moving it. They definitely messed with the glowing spot in the update. Hopefully a patch will be released soon because I imagine this isn't a good change for most people.

so unless the glowing spot moves daily (whether you find it or not), i just flat out didn't have one yesterday because it was in a super obvious spot today that i wouldn't have missed unless it was elsewhere the day before.

I spent a long time this morning looking for mine. Finally found it where a tree could grow, but it was in a flower area, totally surrounded and almost invisible.
I don't mind hunting a bit, but this was bordering on frustrating.

This is exactly what happened to me. Whe I dug the x up, it was 1000 bells, but of course not glowing. I went by later and it was glowing and I was able to make the money tree.

I regularly did not find a glowing spot starting around early June, when my island was the most covered in flowers. At first I would look everywhere, but eventually just couldn’t be bothered.
On the flip side, now that I am getting the glowing spots regularly again (I freed up some open space), I find them kind of annoying, as i have to leave room for all these extra trees and move them around all the time (because I don't miss the bells when I don’t get them but I can’t pass them up when I have the chance to get them)

I believe it is a bug linked to the lack of available space rather than the update. I have had trouble finding the glowing spot for at least one month now, oftentimes, including today, I didn't even find it at all. As for the glowing spot not actually glowing, I've never experienced it.
