Glitch/ Incorrect translation?

So I've been customizing furniture in my house, and I wanted my lava lamp to match the color of my room. I brought in my lava lamp to Cyrus to see if he could change the color apparently the names of the customization colors are mixed up. I chose green, but the lava lamp turned red instead! I found a bunch of other people who had this happened too http://www.animalcrossingcommunity.com/Topic/5791195/1/Lava_Lamp_Customization_Issue_US_Version_ I don't know if this happens in the non U.S. releases of the game.
what does anyone think? Is it glitch or just a wrong translation?

It's probably some sort of mix up that the designers had when creating the game. That's really weird!
