Giving up on dreamies because of bad house locations

Yes it happen to me. Blanche moved in front of my Retail when I accidentally logged in my mayor (fake startup screen!!!) but I work it all up~ Now she happily leave besides Graham <3

Peanut is my biggest dreamie, and (in my previous town) she moved in the worst place possible. So did Marshal for that matter. I made it work for me because I didn't want to give her up. I was tempted to reset my whole game when I saw Peanut's house location, but then realized how stupid that idea was ~ since my town was almost complete anyway, and I'd worked super hard on it.

I've never done that kind of plot resetting (only done it for adoption and campers), but I can imagine I would also settle for decently-liked villagers in the ideal spot. My town is far from perfect, but I've put a lot of work into it and there's not a lot I would be willing to sacrifice for a cool villager.

Such a shame that we can't choose where villager houses go.

I want all of my villagers houses to be lined up. Even if I could work around a house, it'd still bother me to see 8 perfectly lined houses and 1 randomly placed on my map.

I gave up on a villager I really, really liked (a starter, so I couldn't plot reset) because her house was 1 space up compared the other houses... (ACNL issues lol)

I find myself wanting much the same. In my second town of Progress, I now have all villagers on the east side. (Beach is south/southwest/west). Fauna is in the northern half; the remaining nine villagers (which includes a brand-new Fang) are in the southern part with a bridge separating the two areas to cross in each direction.

I've stated it many times: we need to be able to control zoning. In my third town of Temps, former villager Queenie had her house right next door to the Town Hall. It was tacky. It was one of those examples that has one wonder what is in the minds of the people behind the scenes with "Animal Crossing."

I think if we end up controlling all aspects of the game, including house placement, then some of the charm of animal crossing will be lost - I think the luck and unpredictability of it is part of the game, I want some surprises! Just my opinion on it

Sometimes when I visit dream, I saw some town have villager's house plot just beside the cliff, then I got myself thinking "what a bad spot" but hey people work it out nicely! It isn't that bad after all! So don't get too stress up if you found them in a bad spot, but it can turn out to be surprisingly special! Sometimes you think, "hey I reset my villager to a perfect spot <3" but you wont know one day you find that spot...not that perfect actually lol.

I have Portia's house RIGHT NEXT TO THE CAMPSITE. This is before I knew about plot resetting. It's really annoying as I want the campsite to look really nice but there's no space for decoration because of her house :( I just live with it.

Wolfgang but his house in the middle of a path that's next to a pond and a rock so there's no getting around it as that path connects retail and the plaza. But I still love Wolfgang so I'm not let him go
