So I've been resetting for about 3 days to get a good layout for my second town. My main must haves were native apples (I've always liked the perfect apples), town tree/plaza in the centre and only one pond.

This seem to fit the bill quite nicely. However, I've never had a town with this kind of layout before. I'm scared that I might not have enough room for PWPs in the future? What do you guys think?

I also have the world's worst villagers but at least Marshal moved in today.

its a nice layout, but room for pwps might become an issue at one point in time.

maybe you should figure out which pwps you want, where you'd like them to go, and see what you can do.

Im not a huge fan of villages that are much bigger on top than on bottom. I like a nice 3:3 ratio with the space. I do like that the waterfall ends on the right so it doesn't split the beach in half. The very small areas in the corners made by the river aren't what I'd look for, but I'd say it's a decent layout.

Hmm, if you mirror this layout from left to right, and swap Re-Tail with the Town Hall, you'd have my town layout, generally. I plopped my house south of the river, in the middle, and it was a pretty good call. I have a fair few PWPs built, but while I am having some thoughts abou what PWPs I want to go where, I have ideas abou existing ones, and which should be demolished.

It looks like a nice town but I'll admit that I know people who have had problems with PWP placement with maps that have the same layout with the river. Depending on how dedicated you are about plot resetting and with some good planning with paths I think it will work without too much trouble because most of the houses and Re-tail are clumped leaving you with lots of area to the west and on the northern section of your town.

It's not bad, but I would be wary of any layout with those top corner pieces. I have one at the right side of my town and finding something to do with it had just been a pain. I never go up there really, decided to put a small orchard there but that's all I could think to use it for. Of course if that's doesn't bother you them go for it, the rest of it looks pretty good :)

It looks good for a map with the plaza in the middle but overall it isn't very good. You don't have so much open space as you would've gotten if you picked a map where the river doesn't wind, so it goes pretty much across and down, or across. Depends if your paths are wide or not too. If you are going for the natural look with the pretty random paths dotted around it shouldn't be too much of a problem but if you want 2-4 wide paths that will make it very trick with that map.
