Gifting Villagers

Normally, I give villagers clothing and occasionally, furniture. My gift giving isn’t an everyday occurrence, more sporadic in nature. Do you give your villagers gifts everyday and what do you give them?

I only gift the ones I still need pictures from daily...which is usually foreign fruit unless I find something I like to give them. Other villagers I gift when I find things I like to give them (something that suits their house or looks good on them) so it's not daily.

i havent gifted them everyday cause i didnt know what to give them that they wont put it in there house thats cute..

but if i know exactly what clothes or furniture i want to give them i will and thats always fun

I mostly only gift to those I haven’t gotten pictures from. Only gifting non-native fruit at this point, as to not ruin house interiors. I’ll gift those that are permanent residences every other day or so, if I happen to have fruit in my pocket when talking to them. The first two gifts are typically a doorplate and one additional outfit that they can wear.

I give them fruits and clothing/accessories very sporadically bc I always forget to actually deliver the gifts once I wrap them and have them either sitting in my inventory for a while or I drop them at a random location when my pockets are full and I'm trying to catch more bugs/fish.

if i don't have their picture yet then i'll give them non-native stacked fruit everyday, if i do have it already then i'll gift them from time to time clothes that i think will match them.

I gave them wrapped fruits, clothes and furniture. And probably their favorite song if I have it! Still trying to get Beau and Ken giving me their photo :<

I give them mostly clothes and fruit, but if I have furniture/objects that would match their house decor, I will give them those too. I still try to gift them fruit everyday even after getting their photo because I heard you can get a 2nd photo after something like 60 more gifts (not sure if this is true).

Depending on the villager, I sometimes give them a watering can, net, and fishing rod too, if there's one that matches their aesthetic. They display these initially, but if you keep gifting them other items, they will eventually cycle out, and they use them in place of the default tools.

i only give gifts to the ones that i still need pics from but to avoid changing up their wardrobe and their house, i only gift them foreign fruit aha

I gift them all clothes, some random stuff, and foreign fruit. If I am at high friendship and don’t have their picture yet I gift them only stacks of 3-4 foreign fruits or coconuts.
I gift pretty much all of them everyday. I always mean to not be so obsessive about gifting once I have their photo, but when I see the option to gift I feel compelled to give them something. Usually this is just fruit because it is the easiest and least time consuming, but I love giving them clothing I think will look cute on them.
I usually give all of them a wreath of some kind for their door and in the past I would occasionally give some cute decorative item. I used to give iron wall lamps/ hanging terrariums when the fruit didn’t work for getting photos.
I also say yes to every trade/purchase they request from me, and deliver all gifts between villagers. So...yeah things get pretty messy.

the only villager i'm still gifting to right now on my island is Dom. he joined my island late so i'm still on the hunt for his photo. however, my go to gift to give my villagers are fruits. i switch fruits around and doesn't just stick to one type. i don't give them my native fruit though, only exotic ones. also wrap them too for that extra bonus.

I gift them all each day non native fruit, if they are one of my newer villagers a stack of 5 gift wrapped. but if want to give them an outfit sometimes do that too

All my villagers receive a wreath as their first gift! They all then receive random clothing or furniture I come across that would be cute for them.

As others mentioned, I give stack of non-native fruits to the ones I’m trying to get photos from! If the villager is new, I’ll also give them non-native fruits to raise the friendship faster

Lately I've been giving more gifts than I did previously! Probably because most of the villagers I have now are permanent so I don't have to worry about keeping them original to give them away!

I gift villagers to max out friendship mostly. Other than that I also enjoy picking out clothing items they will look good in

I always buy cute stuff at the able sisters and buy extras for my villagers I got a cute sweater for Kiki and I Rosie a dress that I also have so we can match
