Giant Flower

Near Nook's store a giant flower has appeared.
My Town is very weedy if it has anything to do with it.
I have tried watering it, Digging it out and nothing is working to get rid of it.
It is attracting many flies.
Does anyone know why it is here and how I rid of it?
