Today W. Link started wearing that orange shirt that Able Sisters always has where you can substitute your designs. I talked to Isabelle because I really prefer his original outfit, but unfortunately he merely changed to a blue gym shirt. Is there a way to get him back to the shirt he started with? Or am I doomed to seeing him in a random top from now on?

Oh I hate that top, Phil changed to it in my town. The only way I know of is to send him shirts you want him to wear (not dresses). Sometimes though, they'll just put it in their house.

Try sending those clothes via a letter.
This would usually work for me...

Well, first if you don't want them wearing the shirts from Able Sisters (orange, duck shirt, white, etc.), you can make a pro design and change them into dresses or umbrellas.

Secondly, if you want to change Wolf Link's shirt to default, the most convenient way is to mail him his shirt before 5 pm, save and quit then once 5 pm passes (on the same day), load your game. Walk around and check if he changes back to original. If not, exit the game via home menu. Don't save (yet). Go back to the game. Do the same until he change his shirt. If he does, that's the time you might want to save.
