Does anyone else get really attached to villagers? Like really attached? I'm not talking about just dreamies I'm talking about villagers who have been with you since June but it's hard to let them go not because you not only like them but because you'll miss seeing them around. Rocco is moving out and I realized how cute he is and how his green fits with the grass and I wish none of my villagers had to move. Hans moved out a while ago but when someone mentions him on a thread I miss him too. I lost Olivia and I still write about her on letters and bulletin boards.

Or when you go around a spot in your town and you go "oh this is where __ used to live" does any else feel this way or am i taking this game too seriously lol

Your post asks if a villager means more to you then simply being a dreamy and yet what you describe for the rest of the post is exactly what happens when you have a villager as a dreamy lol.

There is nothing higher than a "dreamy" because that's your dream villager, the one you want most more than any other. I don't think I'm understanding you tho :3

I think they're saying that it seems dreamies can sometimes be villagers people want in their town and nothing more, it's kinda loose term. they're talking about some serious emotional attachment I guess c:

I really love Astrid the kangaroo,I would be really really upset if she moved

Yes! Or more like time attachment it's more of a better term?

I get this sometimes
Clyde and Gaston were the first to people that i met on the game. Whenever they say "hey im leaving" i always say "Why must villagers Move/Attempt to" when i could just say "Hey! I dont truly like you get out of my town".

I understand where your coming from you cant really explain it :)

I always thought dreamies were villagers you sort of never experienced personally so they're the villagers of your dreams @___@; if that makes sense

Merry my (well not anymore 8'D) precious little pop star cat. I drew her fanart then gave her away. ACNL is forever bittersweet.

Thanks! I don't want to sound too confusing. But do you like Clyde and Gaston?

Huh that's funny, I thought it was a given that "dreamies" meant having some sort of an emotional attachment, otherwise how could they even be a dreamy? I guess the term has a different meaning to different ppl tho so thnx for the clarification :)

Very true but life is also bittersweet. Merry is cute actually she's a dreamy of mine! (But I want her and Felicity at the same time they look like they could be related!)

Well I guess I should exclude that dreamy part out I just wanted to make sure I meant more than that ~ dreamy love ~ lol

Dreamies could also be people you never had so you can't really have an attachment to them ... YET.

I quit playing the game for 2 weeks without realizing when Eugene moved, so I know what you mean :(

He was one of my originals and became a dreamy of mine >: so now I'm trying to go through 16 neighbors to try and get him back but every time a new neighbor cries when they say goodbye I tell them to stay. I'm so weak haha :D

I always thought it meant the exact opposite haha. Well sorta. A villager you've seen or experienced and want them more over other villagers. That's what I thought the term meant.

Me too, I'm resetting towns right now, so I'm hoping she'll be a starter. :)

If I had Merengue I would give her to you! I know what it feels like to lose a favorite villager :p

Yes yes yes!!! This is exactly what I mean. It's almost like you see them as real people but I know you want Eugene but you also feel bad for letting the others go lol

I'm too nice ;-; (although I let Pinky go in a heartbeat lol)

EDIT: I just looked up Eugene and omg he looks sooo cool! Haha

Roscoe. Roscoe. Roscoe.

I feel bad keeping him here, but I'll just miss him so much. He's my only original villager left and he's been here since I started.

I do the same thing with Bella checking where her house used to be. I miss her. Can't wait for her to show up on my main street!

Ribbot is the only one I have gotten attached too and lost in him a stupid TT thing. I built a pwp where his house was so no one could move there.

Yes! I totally know what you mean. I've had beardo since june 15th when i first got the game. He grew to be one of my favorite villagers & i love him a lot, but i've been moving in a lot of dreamies lately, and apple put her house right next to beardo's. It was a terrible spot. it gets in the way of navigation, and to make navigation better, i'm gonna have to let beardo go. He told me today that he's moving on the 24th :( i'm really gonna miss him. But i also want some change and to experience new villagers. though, i know he'll send me his picture and i'll have something to remember him by. he's a tier 5 villager and i dont know if anybody has him as their dreamy, but i'm gonna make a thread soon and hopefully someone will want him & give him a good home! :)

Haha we have Roscoe as one of our original four in common n_n I'm never letting him go sorry!

Question when do they start showing up in Main Street? I want Olivia to show up already as well!
