Getting the villagers you want

Sooooo... obviously we've gotten to a point where everyone is trading villagers or allowing certain villagers to move in and out of each others towns...

But how do you do it?

I see lots of people doing it but I still haven't heard how they actually achieve it >.< lol

First, you need an open space in your town (the maximum you can have is 10 villagers). Once the villager is packing their boxes, you go to the other person's town and talk to the moving villager. The villager will tell you that they are moving and haven't decided where they're going yet and you will have the option to invite them to move to your town. If you choose the option to invite them, their house plot will appear in your town after a day or two. Hope this helps!
