Getting Rid of Chops

I don't like Chops. Snooty villagers always bug me, but he's particularly creepy. He was one of the first villagers to move in, and I talked him way up the friendship ladder before realizing what a ugly and revolting pig he is.
So I started ignoring him.
AND HE'S STILL HERE!

When I put down my path, I purposefully did not connect it to his house. I started crafting passive aggressive letters to my other villagers, in the hopes they would hate Chops as well. Example:

Dear Teddy,
You're a bear, and I think that's great. Chops hates bears; he says his mom was mauled by one, but we all know he's just racist. Racism is not OK!
Best Regards, Mayor.

Hey Zucker,
You may be made of food, but I think that's awesome. I don't care what Chops says, you're a neat dude. Let's get rid of him!

AND HE'S STILL HERE!

Today, I found a lost item. One by one, all my villagers said it wasn't theirs, which meant it was Chops'! But if I show him any positive regard, he will never leave!

I buried it in a hole behind his house.

I don't think the animals actually understand your letters though. I try to send them everyday and when I don't have time I put like three words in every letter. Then the next day they tell me how beautiful and great my letters were and how inspired they are. I think you have to ignore them for a certain amount of days, I'm not sure. I've never hated anyone in this game before. XD

On my old town I had Chops. I don't really like him either; he's really creepy, I agree, and just annoying. I didn't try to get him to move, but I definitely understand why you'd want to get rid of him.
