Last night I saw an advert for this bundle, here. Its awesome value (total discount of $145AUD), I can pay it off (layby, how I buy all my stuff) and I get another copy of ACNL (that I lost when my 2DS died) So happy emmy!

A few months ago my 2DS was damaged, as it was wrapped up in my blanket and I stepped on it u.u Since then I haven't been able to enjoy the game as much because I like to play it on my own, not relying on anyone to help transfer items, villagers etc. Both screens cracked and its not playable unless its repaired. I don't have the money to pay in full ($80AUD+) So i'm considering selling it as it is, because it has a digital copy of animal crossing that I paid $35 for. It's not worth just disposing, because its just the LED screen that is damaged. Pic of 2DS Opinions on doing this?

1) Did you register your NNID on your 2DS? 1.5) If no, then is the 2DS function able to at least let you do so or is it completely dead?

2) If you answered yes, then why bother buying a physical copy when you have the digital copy assigned to your NNID? You can just contact Nintendo and they'll transfer the NNID from the 2DS to your new 3DS.

3) Don't waste money on that bundle when you can get a new 3ds xl for around the same price. Even if you're thinking about selling the "2 in 1" disney games, you'll only get like $8 dollars for them, since their only target market is small children. And if you do have your NNID then can't the game just be redownloaded?

Oh, wasn't aware of how expensive the new 3ds is abroad.

You can still get a preowned new 3ds xl for that kind of money + the discount you have.

Well, I think I did because I had to go through the Eshop to buy the ACNL copy..? Im not sure.
I haven't checked since it happened, but the screens are unuseable.
I will have a look at the 3ds to see if I can do that, I didn't know how to download the purchased eshop stuff. I know you can't swap SD cards cause the game is locked to the DS..

It definitely isnt a waste of money. The DS is worth $250 by itself. ACNL, $55ish, I'm not fussed about the other game. Technically I'm paying $140 for the DS and $30 for the game. Thats awesome.

Edit: Both the new and older XLs ar both $250 :(
also, I did just have a look at my eshop history and for some reason my ACNL isn't in my history, so I must have used a different email/NNID? ;-; I have no clue.

Is your every single area of the touch screen still functioning despite cracks in it? If it all does, then it's absolutely possible to actually perform a system transfer. Be prepared to memorize on where you should touch on your broken 2DS and you'll salvage your content just as fine. You could look up for a step-to-step guides with a lot of images or even videos of the entire New 3DS transfer process to help you locate where to tap next.

If you believe you're able to pull off this feat, then you get a New 3DS XL, perform the system transfer and then sell the broken 2DS.
If you don't want to try the somewhat risky method, try contacting a Nintendo rep after you bought a New 3DS XL and ask for them to transfer everything from your broken 2DS to your newly purchased hardware. Mention that your 2DS screens are damaged enough to obstruct them and they'll be likely understand your situation. If you're lucky enough, they'll perform a system transfer for you. Be sure to have the serial number of each involved hardware and the NNID you're currently using handy in case they'll ask for them.

If everything goes well, you should have everything from your 2DS transferred to your New 3DS XL.

I turned it on earlier and it was still making noises as I was tapping so I assume it still works.
I did look up the guide but I've forgotten my password and I don't remember the NNID I used.. Which doesn't help.
I'm definitely considering calling them to do the system transfer (not sure how they do it though?)
Also~ not buying the "New" 3DS, buying the older one c: but thank you! I'm glad I posted this, or I would have given up on my digital download.

Try this page if you forgot your NNID. It will ask for your email address and either your birth date or nickname.

Depends on how damaged it is, and what kind it is. I could sell mine for a good $170 or so. (It has a small chip in the plate, and some scrapes, along with it being the super mario edition)
