Getting Gracie to town

Alrighty so my partner has had his copy of new leaf for about half a year now and gracie has never visited him so he's stuck with the second final expansion of the shops. He wanted me to ask everyone here if you guys had any clue why she wouldn't be appearing for him. He does time travel multiple times in an irl day, because he's trying to breed flowers and get rid of non-dreamies (currently sylvia is in his warpath haha), so maybe that has something to do with it. I had a look online and i couldn't find anything on how to get her to visit the town so my next hope is all the lovely people on here. Thanks in advance my dudes.

According to the AC Wiki,Gracie will start visiting a town after at least 70,000 bells have been spent at the T.I.Y. shop.If I remember correctly only the merchandise that changes out daily counts as part of the 70,000.In my towns,sometimes Gracie appeared within a few days after I had spent that amount and sometimes it took a long time afterwards.It seems to be fairly random.

Spend 100,000 in bells’ worth of merchandise in your shops. (Well, I take it above the call of duty.)

I recommend the ordering system. Go for the Lottie items of those which costs 6,000 to 8,000 bells each. (I pick those which are each 8,000 bells. Buy between 13 to 15. And then sell them in Re-Tail.)

Eventually, by repeating doing this, and after so many days of each level of the Nooks, you will trigger the first appearance by Gracie in your town’s plaza.

Here is a link to a guide for the Nook shops. It tells you, for example, how many days each one is in operation before you are able to upgrade to the next level.
