Has anyone got bored after achieving all their "dreamies"?

I'm honestly starting to get a tad bored, and I only had all my dreamies for about 2 months or less? But at the same time, I don't want to give up any of them because I love them all and I hate plot resetting, but I'm probably thinking of letting go of a smug (Julian, not Marshal because Marshal's staying forever),snooty(Possibly Ankha), normal (Merengue?) since I don't have an uchi and I already have 2 smugs, 2 normals, 2 snooties. It's not that I'm bored with all my villagers, just a few? ;~; I know for certain who will be a "forever villager" in my town (Coco, Bam, Marshal, possibly Peanut and Fang) so they can never, ever leave. [unless accidentally in boxes] I'm trying to at least keep all 10 for as long as I can before changing though. It's just me though, I don't always have a feeling of boredom, but I do from time to time.

I have a few villagers in mind if I move one out; Olivia, Muffy, Frita, Gayle (more leaning towards an uchi since I don't have one)

How long have you kept your dreamies or villagers for? Do you ever get a slight feeling of boredom?

That's how I felt before I reset. I didn't have all of them, but I had most of them, and I got bored with them. Now I've decided to try out some new villagers. I also bought a second copy and decided I wasn't keeping anyone in that town, so I can always experience new villagers.

I tend to keep only about 4-6 villagers permanently, and let the other ones come and go.
Without new faces the game gets really boring really quickly for me.

even though I have like 15 different "dreamies" ahahaa

I've had a good portion of my villagers over 4 months. Some I know I can't let go (Beau, Lolly, Marshal, Julian). Others I became increasingly bored with and have just replaced (Chrissy to Apple, Francine to Ankha [finally cycled enough back :3] and Zucker to Punchy). Honestly i found my game super boring starting in January. I had everyone I wanted and didn't need anything new. Is check up on my game every few days but that's it. Then I decided I needed to switch up my town. When everyone is your best friend there's no challenge. I switched them out and it's helped rekindle my game :) I missed my lovely Ankha and I'm glad she's back!
Whatever you do, good luck!

I'm feeling the same, really. Sometimes I have bad TT accidents trying to move out bad apples (I'm looking at YOU, Pate and Boone) and other times I let someone leave just to shake things up. Most of my villagers from around 6 months ago are gone, but I'm still bored.

I wish there was a healthier trading community here so that I could keep things fresh. If I let a villager leave now, I have to deal with either of these two outcomes: A) leaving myself at the game's mercy and getting ugly villagers or B) having to spend a huge chunk of my day on cycling threads looking for a replacement. Most people seem to prefer stalking cycling threads to swapping. An example: If I wanted to trade Kiki for Celia, I probably wouldn't find someone within five days, because everyone would be refreshing certain threads in a frenzy trying to get Kiki or Merengue or someone else. So I would end up having to give her away and join the f5 hordes to get Celia.

Yes, some were originally my dream villagers and I decided to let them go before I even achieved all my dreamies.
Like Rudy, maybe I just don't like jocks, I don't know.
and I'm letting go Chrissy and Francine because I have too many rabbits and I love Bunnie and Mira more. Plus, I don't think I liked Chrissy and Francine as much as I thought I would. They just look kinda...idk how to explain? maybe its their eyes..

I'm planning on having two of each of my favourite species (Rabbits, cats, squirrels, bear cubs, deers) and that hasn't happened yet, but when it does, I'll probably keep my villagers forever <3

ah! I feel you, I had both Chrissy and Francine, I didn't like them as much as I thought so I let both go ;~;

Same! I've gotten dreamies before, but I end up letting them go even before I could complete my dreamy list. (Zucker, Chrissy, Francine, Tangy, Phoebe and more ;~; )

The only villagers I never get bored of is Marshal, Coco, Bam, Fang and Peanut too. ;~;

I honestly think the only way for me to settle on keeping 10 of the same villagers for as long as I can is byy getting a 2nd town to experience villagers, but that would be too much work and money. ;~;

I had achieved all my dreamies super fast. I didn't like any tier 1 or 2 villagers so that's why. I kept most of them around for at least six months and because it felt so boring I started to form a new list of other villagers I wanted to meet. It's really that simple.

Just recently I got Naomi. Her design fascinates me.

6 months? Holy shizzlets o:

I actually have have so many on my list I won't ever get bored, because if one leaves (I hope none of my current ones leave!) I have back ups.

I don't have all 10 of my dreamies yet (2 more to go), but I think I'll feel very relieved when I do get them all, and won't get bored. Tracking down dream neighbors is a substantial goal to work towards, but once I complete that goal I think there will still be other -- more fun(!) -- goals to work towards, like designing my town, houses, and making new paths. I find looking for dream neighbors and resetting for their houses quite stressful and a painful experience, so I won't miss that. It'll be nice to play the game in a more relaxed, free manner -- just talking to everyone frequently to make sure no one's moving, of course.

I didnt get bored, but the game just felt stale after i got all my dreamies. It just became a daily "chore crossing" as someone on these boards said. :). So i have let them all go, and i now have a new goal of meeting all 333 villagers. Its been good but only because i am not obsessed with landscaping so i dont care where the new villager lands. Its been keeping me from getting bored.

considering that my purpose in playing the game is not only because I want to achieve, but also because it's an escape from reality, I would have to say no, I'm not getting bored at all :/

In my old town, I obtained all of my dream villagers which were: Zell, Stitches, Lucky, Marshal, Ankha, Beau, Chief, Genji, and Julian. I got bored cause I really didn't have anything to look forward to/to thrive for. After getting all of them, my game got corrupted and I actually felt some kind of relief. I'm just working on getting every villager's picture from now on.

I understand this! I lvoe the feeling of adopting or seeing a new villager house plot. ^~^

Nah, the more dreamies I get the more entertained I am! As soon as I have them all I can really work on my town's look,
and when everything looks the way I want to I can finally do what I love best: Play for little amounts of time daily, in a relaxed way, to fish, complete my museum, decorate my house, decorate my villager houses and visit other towns.

I feel EXACTLY like this! Even have two dreamies to go too!
Plus I've been playing every day for almost a year and a half. I don't think I'd have any problem playing at a more relaxed pace after getting all my dreamies. In fact, I'm looking forward to it!

I don't keep a big list of dreamies for this reason. Some of my villagers I can't let go of: Bob, O'Hare, and maybe Fauna. I think I'd get bored having the same villagers day in and day out. I like having different villagers move in from time to time, it keeps things from getting stale.

Yes... I'm really sad one of mine ended up moving away today. (She was adopted, thankfully.)
I had all my dreamies for a bit, thanks to this site. I'm really happy, but I have a lot of the same personalities and I really want to mix it up some and get new faces, but then I get really sad thinking about letting some of them go because I was so happy to get them in the first place. It's killing me a dreamie moved today, but I keep telling myself I had my time with her and at least the girl she went to had her as a dream baby too. I know she'll be taken care of. And that's what matters to me, I guess.

I think this is naturall..
I'm going to restart over Azalea when i get all my 10 foodies in Parfait, which will have me a new list of 10 dreamies in Azalea to achieve.. and hopefully along the way ill experience lots of other villagers as im going to be under no rush
