General species discussion: the kangaroos

Yep, the kangaroos...hated by many and admired by some. Kind of a love-hate species.

I personally like Mathilda but I may be biased because she was my first camper in my former town (and I gladly invited her, of course!). I recall a friend of mine saying something like "Hey, it's like you got 11 villagers now. Mathilda and her joey."

Anyways, what do you think about them? Is there one you like in particular?

hmm... i used to find the female's little joeys kind of off-putting, but after having both Mathilda and Astrid in former towns, i realized that they're just kind of a cute design feature that i didn't really pay attention to while playing anyway

also Walt is super cool, 10/10, would invite from campsite

the female ones are weird to me, tbh. other than that, got no problem with them. I had Walt and Rooney in my first NL town, Glitter. they were okay. Rooney wasn't around for too long, but Walt was. I liked him, but def like other cranky villagers more.

I think I would have liked them if their design was different. Also their colors are terrible. It's a shame because they're a cool specie.

I really don't like any of them. The colour schemes are all hideous and I don't like their models in general.

Huh, I didn't know lots of people hated the kangaroos. A few of them are pretty cool to me. Weird that the joey in their pouch always imitates their facial expressions though, lol. Mathilda was my first kangaroo wayyyy back in GC version, I always really loved her look, so she's my favorite. Then I had Astrid. Technically not very cute, but I definitely appreciate her unique design. Only kangaroo I've had in New Leaf so far was Rooney. I liked him, but he didn't leave a lasting impression since I had him for such a short time.

Rooney is quite nice.
Female Kangaroos are ok too... but like above I wish they could wander out too.

Does nobody like Marcie? She's adorable and pink and honestly the only cute kangaroo. I had her awhile back and loved her a lot.

I just got Marcie's amiibo card in a random pack. She's quite cute, but her eyes are kinda odd tbh lol.
