gems?

Ok so besides the gold ones for golden furniture...what are the others good for?
I know some can make certain gem patterns on furniture but is that all?
I think ruby can make the lovely set a lighter pink, but I could be wrong...I am ready to sell them all because they are taking up space and I don't want any gem type furniture.
If I need the rubies for the lovely set to make it lighter I will keep those as well as the gold but I just want to be sure on the rest that they aren't really needed for anything before I go dump them on reese!

As far as i know the gems can only be sold or used to remake furniture.
The emeralds can be applied to the green furniture series, the sapphires to blue furniture, etc.

Ok I just wanted to be sure before I sold them because I don't want to redo those series with gems and wasn't sure if they could be used for anything else.

if you want to remake furniture then take the gem and the corresponding furniture set item that you wish to remodel to Cyrus
